Bertram Buddy Bot

Bertram Buddy Bot is a fully functional AI player companion for R.E.P.O. He loiters and chats in the lobby, follows orders in the field, carries carts, scouts ahead for monsters, revives downed teammates, plays MIDI tunes, and helps haul valuable loot.

🎮 How to Spawn & Play with Bertram

1. Enable General > Enabled = true in BepInEx/config/com.boneless.bertrambuddybot.cfg (or via Thunderstore Mod Manager config editor).
2. Host a lobby (Bertram is host-managed and spawns in host lobbies).
3. Bertram auto-spawns in the lobby and mission levels.
4. Host Controls:
   • F9 — Spawn / Re-spawn Bertram
   • F10 — Despawn Bertram
   • F11 — Orbital motion debug / test
   • LeftAlt (Hold) — Open the Buddy Command Wheel HUD

Talk to Bertram in text chat (prefix with "Bertram") or use the Intercom Key (LeftAlt) / Buddy HUD Wheel.

🛒 Cart & Inventory

• "bring the cart" / "get the cart" / "fetch the cart" / "push the cart" — Brings the cart over to you.
• "drop that" / "put it down" — Drops his currently held item.
• "help me carry" / "two man lift" — Assists with heavy 2-player items.

👥 Buddy & Team Following

• "follow me" / "come here" / "stay close" / "on me" — Claims Bertram as your personal buddy.
• "someone else" / "go away" / "leave me alone" — Dismisses Bertram to find another teammate.
• "who is your buddy?" — Asks Bertram who he is currently following.

🚑 Medic & Revival

• "revive" / "help me" / "get me up" — Orders Bertram to locate and revive a downed teammate.
• "heal me" / "patch me up" — Requests medical assistance.

🧭 Scouting & Navigation

• "scout ahead" / "check it out" / "go explore" — Sends Bertram ahead to explore rooms.
• "what's ahead" / "report" — Asks Bertram what loot or monsters he spotted.
• "head to the truck" — Orders Bertram back to the truck.
• "head to extraction" — Commands Bertram to head toward extraction.

• "stay here" / "wait here" / "hold position" — Tells Bertram to hold position.
• "hide" / "get down" / "take cover" — Tells Bertram to crouch and hide.
• "crouch" / "stand up" / "jump" / "look at me" / "back up" — Direct physical commands.
• "stop working" / "resume" — Pauses or resumes autonomous looting.

🎙️ Voice Recognition Credits

Bundles the Vosk speech-recognition library (libvosk.dll) and the vosk-model-small-en-us-0.15 model, both licensed under Apache License 2.0 by Alpha Cephei Inc. Used for offline, in-process voice commands — no audio ever leaves your machine.
