Player Bounties

Make the lobby fear your name.
Each level might put a juicy BOUNTY on a random player. Hunt them down before the timer runs out to cash in but only if they die inside the extractor. The target never sees their own tag; everyone else gets to point and cackle.

What this mod does

  • Spawns a bounty on a random player at the start of a level (based on a configurable chance).
  • Shows a “BOUNTY” tag anchored above the target’s nameplate, with the live timer and cash amount.
  • Payout: If the target dies inside extraction while the timer is active, your squad gets a K-cash bonus.
  • Revive rules:
    • If the bounty times out or the target dies outside extraction → revives are normal.
    • If the target dies in extraction during the timer and the team gets paid → their revive is blocked for the rest of the level. Actions have consequences. >:)

How it works (no nerd-speak)

  • One player gets marked.
  • Everyone except the target sees the bright bounty tag hovering over that player.
  • The clock ticks. You decide: escort them to their doom… or be a hero and keep them alive.
  • If they drop in the extractor before the timer ends, cha-ching for the team and no take-backs for the target.

Config (tweak your flavor of evil)

Config section name: Bounty (yep, different from the mod name)

  • Enable — turn the mode on/off.
  • ChancePerLevel — probability (0–1) that a level spawns a bounty.
  • MinDollars / MaxDollars — range for the bounty cash display.
  • DurationSeconds — how long the bounty lasts.
  • OnlyOneBountyPerLevel — true = at most one bounty per level.

Play nice… or don’t. The extractor is hungry.
