Warning - A NSFW mod!

NSFW: This mod turns the paintings changed by the CustomPaintings mod into random images that are funny or NSFW (most likely the latter).

OTHER WARNINGS:

  1. Due to large amounts of images (about a thousand), this mod will make loading into REPO take much longer and could be intensive on your computer. Recommended to use a higher end device, and it is advised to either not play with this mod at all or slim down the image count yourself if using a lower end device.
  2. Somewhat offensive content may be displayed. Don't worry, there are no swastikas and the like.

Info

Detailed Description

The mod adds a handful of memes and an assortment of artists' NSFW work. There are 1170+ images, which is QUITE a lot of images. Good luck finding them all! With all the images, the mod's quite big (over 800mb), making starting the game take much longer. If you have trouble playing, feel free to cut out some of the images if you want to save space and start the game quicker. A VERY small amount of the NSFW images are AI and futa, if you do not like that, you can remove them. I grabbed most of the images from the Rule34 website, and some from other painting mods. I copied and pasted the SFW images several times in order to add more weight to them as the NSFW ones heavily outweighed the SFW ones, although you are still a lot more likely to find an NSFW image than a SFW one. Most images are suggestive, with a small portion being SFW and another small portion being particularly explicit.

Removing and Adding

If there's anything you want to remove, you can do it by going into the mod's folder, then into CustomPaintings, and remove anything you need to. This is good if you want to get rid of NSFW images, SFW images, or anything else that may be an issue for you. Additionally, you can go ahead and put some of your own images in there as well (although I'm not sure if they'll save on any updates I may make so do make sure to have a backup).

Also, you only need the CustomPaintings folder (inside of the plugins directory) and nothing else in this mod, so feel free to delete stuff like this README or the icon or whatever. Although, if you were to download any updates I release, I think it will readd everything else back (and possibly duplicate the CustomPaintings folder) but I'm not sure.

Artists

To find the name of an artist, you can do it usually by looking at the images for a watermark or the names of the photos within the folder (if I named them after the artist). If you would like to know the name of an artist, try to ask me (although I'm not sure if I'll be active enough to). If an artist wants me to remove their image(s) from the mod, then I can (although once again, I'm not sure if I'll be active enough to). I'll link a Twitter/X account you can talk to me from, though don't expect punctuality in me seeing your request.

Appearance

Don't like the appearance of the paintings? Seem a little too low quality or grimy than you'd like? It's because it's made to fit the vanilla feeling, but if you don't want that, you can actually change some things:

  • Go into the config files and go to UnderratedJunk.CustomPaintings.cfg and here you can change various things:

    • Point Filtering makes the images more pixelated which fits the atmosphere of the game. I believe you can turn this on to make the images much higher quality, although it might make your game laggy (I never tried it, after all).
    • Grunge makes the images look dirty and cracked, fitting the atmosphere of the game. You can turn this effect off, reduce/increase the effect (via intensity), or change the colors of the grunge.
    • You can also change what items have their textures swapped, though this is ill-advised (as it can be laggy and look bad) via the config for Rugs/Banners and Chaos Mode.
  • You can reduce pixellation in-game to get a much higher quality view in general, making everything a lot smoother looking, which includes the paintings. I believe you can find the pixellation setting in the Graphics settings.

  • You can also edit the images themselves via an image editor, although I don't know what you'd want to do with them. Your adjustments may not remain if updates arrive, so make sure to have a backup.

Contacting

You can contact me on my Twitter/X which should be linked on the page. Feel free to ask for an artist name, request that I add image(s), or request that I remove them if you're the artist (though I doubt this mod will be big enough that any of the artists will do so). I can't guarantee I'll get to you, but you should still at least try.

Having Issues?

I'll be putting any common issues here, but as of right now, there isn't any.
