MSC Plugin Handler

The MSC phone brings minigames, waiting lobbies, Hub pages and player shortcuts together. Open a game, review its setup or find a lobby without searching through separate menus.

Open and navigate

Hold Start / Options / + for 0.7 seconds to open the phone. A short tap still opens the game's normal pause menu. The faint bottom-right ring brightens while you hold the opening button.

Rebind Open MSC Handler under Controls > Binds if you want another opening control. Close another MSC game's active menu before opening the phone. The Handler respects game and session restrictions rather than forcing an action.

Minigames

Open Minigames to choose a running supported game: S.K.A.T.E., Spot Battle, Tag, Infection, Fireball or Longest Belly Slide. Selecting one opens that game's own setup. Each game retains its own settings and match rules.

The phone does not change scoring or let you host conflicting MSC games at once. If asked, end your current hosted game or remove its unfinished marker before hosting a different one.

Matchmaking and invitations

Browse waiting lobbies, hosts, player counts and available rules. Select an eligible lobby to join through its game's normal admission process. Full, stale or already-started lobbies may be unavailable.

Lobby and invitation cards use deliberate one-second holds: Y / Triangle for join, start or return, and B / Circle for dismiss, leave or end as shown. Nintendo prompts use X and A respectively. These are different from the phone's shorter Start/Options opening hold. Follow the current card's action; the same button can mean something different after joining.

MSC Hub in the phone

With MSC Hub running, its tile opens Shop, Collection, My MSC, Leaderboards, Transfer and Activities in the phone. Activities include Roulette, Slots, Blackjack, Coin Flip, Dice Duel and High / Low.

Hub features need a supporting MSC server. The phone does not create a wallet, grant purchases or guarantee rewards on servers without those features. The Hub tile disappears when Hub is disabled or unavailable.

Social and staff actions

Use Social to select a player and request Teleport to Player. Teleporting can be refused during games or when the host disallows it. Spectating is not currently offered as a Social action.

Authorised staff can see additional server-supplied actions, such as player reports, moderation or bringing a player to them. Opening the phone does not grant staff permissions. Review the selected player and confirmation before acting.

Preferences and help

The Handler plugin page offers its enabled state, native-entry visibility and controller icon style. Choose the glyph style matching your controller. The Handler is optional: minigames and Hub remain usable through their own supported menus when the phone is disabled.

If a game is missing, check that its plugin is enabled and running. If no lobbies appear, check your session and whether a host has a waiting game. If Hub or Social actions are unavailable, read their messages and check server support and permissions.
