Slappy Wide Mode

Wide trucks, wheels that actually sit on them. This mod turns every truck in the game into an 11-inch truck: a wider hanger, an 11" axle tip to tip, and the wheels moved out to the ends of the axle. It's made to go with Slappy Curb Killer Trucks, the Slappys come in 11" like that, but it works on every truck.

How it works

skate. uses one shared wheel model for every wheel, so wheels can't move out for just one truck. Wide Mode widens the wheel model and all four of the game's truck shapes together, so whatever truck and wheels you pick line up.

• The middle of the hanger (pivot, bushings, kingpin and the hanger print) stays the same; the arms get longer.
• Baseplates and the deck don't change.
• Every wheel graphic still works, it just sits further out.
• It's a looks-only change. The board rides exactly the same.

Turning it on and off

Wide Mode is its own mod so you can switch it in the launcher's MODS page: on for the 11" setup, off for stock width. Restart the game after switching.

Plays badly with

Other mods that change the truck or wheel models: WideDeck12, wheel-size mods (46mm wheels and the like), deck packs that bring their own trucks (Board Break decks, hoverboards, egg decks). Whichever sits higher in the mod list wins, so keep only one of them on.

Install

Mod manager (easiest): hit install, launch ReSkate, done.

By hand:

1. Unzip so the files sit straight inside a folder in your ReSkate Mods folder, for example Mods/Slappy_Wide_Mode/layout.toc. Don't leave them one folder deeper or the game won't see them.
2. Make sure it's enabled on the launcher's MODS page.

Built for the current pinned ReSkate build. If ReSkate updates and the trucks go back to stock width, the mod probably needs a rebuild, so give me a shout.
