Noble Lights & Props

Two real lights and two big props for skate.: a yellow halogen work light for Quick Drop that lights up the night, the NOBLE Headlamp - a head lamp you wear that shines wherever you look - and, new in 1.1.0, the NOBLE ONE sound system and the NOBLE ONE DJ Booth for Quick Drop.

Have Smoke Session too? That's fine. Smoke Session (1.9.0 and newer) also contains the work light and the NOBLE Headlamp, but not the props - the NOBLE ONE sound system and the DJ booth are only in Noble Lights & Props. Having both installed works, as long as both are up to date.

All four are new items - Noble Lights & Props does not replace any vanilla item or Quick Drop object.

NOBLE ONE sound system

• Where: Quick Drop > category bkaudio > bkaudio noble one.
• What it is: a big sound system stack - two bass horn subwoofers with two tops on top, about 1.3 m wide and 2.4 m high. Purple finish, white horn plates, NOBLE ONE logos on the sides of the subs and an engraved logo on the front of the tops.
• It's a prop: it does not play music and has no light.
• Raw names: the names "bkaudio" and "bkaudio noble one" come from ReSkate. A new Quick Drop object gets its menu category and tile name from its internal name, so they show up like this.
• Collision: the whole stack is solid. Your board bounces off one box around the whole stack, so the space on the upper sub behind the tops is blocked too. Your skater collides with the subs and the tops.
• Multiplayer: other players need Noble Lights & Props (1.1.0 or newer), otherwise they don't see the sound system (for them it is simply skipped, nothing breaks).
• Saved: placed sound systems stay saved like other Quick Drop objects. If the mod is disabled they are hidden, and they come back when you enable it again.
• Mod maps: works on every map.

NOBLE ONE DJ Booth

• Where: Quick Drop > category bkaudio > bkaudio noble djbooth (next to the sound system).
• What it is: a club DJ desk, 2 m wide and 1 m high, in the same purple as the sound system. On top: two NDJ-3000 decks and an NDM-900NXS2 mixer from the made-up brand Nobleer, plus two cans of NOBLE LAGER. The front that faces the crowd is covered in graffiti and stickers around a big NOBLE ONE logo.
• It's a prop: the decks don't play music; the screens are part of the texture.
• Raw names: "bkaudio noble djbooth" is the ReSkate tile name, the same way as for the sound system.
• Collision: the desk is solid (one box around the whole desk). The decks, the mixer and the cans on top have no collision of their own.
• Multiplayer: other players need Noble Lights & Props (1.1.0 or newer), otherwise they don't see the DJ booth (for them it is simply skipped, nothing breaks).
• Saved: placed DJ booths stay saved like other Quick Drop objects. If the mod is disabled they are hidden, and they come back when you enable it again.
• Mod maps: works on every map.

NOBLE Headlamp

• Where: Accessories > Headwear > NOBLE Headlamp (it uses the hat slot).
• What it is: a black head band with NOBLE logos and a head lamp at the front of your forehead.
• Light: a wide, soft flood light plus a brighter core beam for the distance, slightly tilted down. The light is always on and sits on your head, so it follows every turn of your head. The lens glows.
• No shadows from the headlamp: a light that moves with you would have to redraw its shadows every frame, so the headlamp casts none. Because of that its light can also reach things behind thin walls or objects.
• Your hair stays: the headlamp keeps your full hairstyle (it is not swapped for a hat version). With very long or big hairstyles and bangs, single strands can poke through the band or the lamp.
• Hat slot: it replaces the cap or hat you are wearing.
• Multiplayer: players who also have Noble Lights & Props (or Smoke Session 1.9.0 or newer) see your headlamp and its light. Players without it see no hat on you - nothing breaks. On servers that have effects turned off, others may see the headlamp without its light.
• Mod maps: works on every map.

Work light

• Where: Quick Drop > category bklights > bklights noble worklight.
• What it is: a yellow halogen work light on a three-legged stand. At night it lights up the area around it, with real shadows. The light is always on.
• Raw names: the names "bklights" and "bklights noble worklight" come from ReSkate. A new Quick Drop object gets its menu category and tile name from its internal name, so they show up like this.
• Same work light as in Smoke Session: it is the same object as the work light in Smoke Session 1.8.0 and newer. Work lights you placed with Smoke Session stay when you use Noble Lights & Props instead, and the other way round.
• Multiplayer: other players need Noble Lights & Props or Smoke Session (1.8.0 or newer), otherwise they don't see the work light (for them it is simply skipped, nothing breaks). Players who have it see the light too.
• Saved: placed work lights stay saved like other Quick Drop objects. If the mod is disabled they are hidden, and they come back when you enable it again.
• Collision: the mast, the head and the two front legs; the rear leg has none.
• Mod maps: works on every map.

Noble Lights & Props and Smoke Session

• Smoke Session 1.9.0 and newer also contains the work light and the NOBLE Headlamp - but not the props. The NOBLE ONE sound system and the DJ booth are only in Noble Lights & Props.
• Smoke Session 1.8.0 has the work light, but not the headlamp yet.
• Both installed is fine, as long as both are up to date: both bring exactly the same lights, so the game shows each light once and the item list lists each item once.
• The load order of Noble Lights & Props does not matter.

How to use

1. Install the mod from the ReSkate launcher (MODS > BROWSE) and make sure it is enabled.
2. Work light: Quick Drop > bklights > bklights noble worklight.
3. Headlamp: Accessories > Headwear > NOBLE Headlamp.
4. Sound system: Quick Drop > bkaudio > bkaudio noble one.
5. DJ booth: Quick Drop > bkaudio > bkaudio noble djbooth.

Good to know

• Noble Lights & Props adds four new items and changes nothing else - no gestures, no sounds, no vanilla objects.
• Nobleer, NDJ, NDM and NOBLE LAGER are made-up names. The models carry no real brand logos, and this mod is not connected to the makers of the original equipment.
• Built for the current supported skate. build. After a game update the mod may show as OUTDATED until it is rebuilt.
