Feet Only

Feet Only for skate. (ReSkate): a costume that hides the skater except the shoes and socks, so you ride as a pair of shoes on a board, fingerboard style. Unequip the costume and your skater comes back.

How to use

1. Install the mod with the ReSkate launcher, or copy the mynewmod folder into Skate\Mods\.
2. Make sure FeetOnly is enabled in the launcher's mod manager (or in the MODS tab of the in-game ReSkate menu), then start the game.
3. Open Apparel -> Costumes and equip Feet Only Costume. Whatever shoes and socks you have equipped stay visible; everything else disappears.

How it works

The costume is a copy of the game's Ghost Skater costume with its ghost effect and foley removed, carrying its own hiding rule: head and body meshes hidden, every clothing slot hidden except shoes and socks. The ghost's mesh is kept (a costume without a mesh makes the game's appearance build fail and crash later) but never drawn: the mod edits that stock mesh's geometry so every section draws zero triangles. The stock Ghost Skater costume shares that mesh, so while this mod is enabled it is invisible too, and the mod removes its blue ghost trails as well so they do not float around an empty body.

Compatibility

• Built for Skate build 25414733 (the build ReSkate supports).
• Adds one costume and its slot-hiding rule, edits the Ghost Skater mesh geometry's draw counts and removes the stock Ghost Skater costume's effects. Adds no code. ReSkate merges the item list it edits with other cosmetic mods.

Known limitations

• The wardrobe tile reuses an existing shoe's thumbnail.
• The stock Ghost Skater costume is invisible and effect-free while this mod is enabled.
• Shoe meshes are open on the inside, so looking into a shoe from above shows the floor.
• Multiplayer has not been tested.

Building from source

The mod is generated from the game's own data by tools/build_feetonly.py in the mod's source repository (the tools are not part of the release zip):
