1.6.0
- Dances from Fortnite's own emotes: tools/build_ue_clips.py turns FModel's .ueanim exports (Fortnite's own skeleton) into native clips with their music, replacing a Unity pack's version of the same emote
- Effects pulse to the music: bursts on each beat of the dance's song, and the board's Disco, Neon and Police
lights flash in time (FX > Pulse to the music). The tools find each song's beat (
build_sounds.py --beats) - Ghost echo (FX tab): a fading glow of your outline trails behind whatever moves
- FRIENDS is now PLAYERS, and shows what each player is playing, with a Join button: play it with them, in time, and keep with them, without turning on Party
- Lighter on slow PCs (ReSkate stops a plugin that takes over 2 ms a tick): a dance during a throwdown, which refuses clips, no longer falls back to the heavy bone-by-bone way for the rest of the session (it dances from the waist up and tries the clip again); hover previews and board dances read their clip at most 30 times a second, and in one call where ReSkate allows it
1.5.0
- Dances on the board move only the upper body, like the game's own board animations: the spine, arms, hands and fingers come from the dance, and the legs and hips keep riding (SETTINGS > Dances on the board: Whole body puts the old way back, the feet kept on the deck)
- Dances show a note when they have music, and a crossed-out note when they don't
1.4.0
- The FORTNITE tab is now DANCES (it holds other dances too)
- Dance tools: older Unity clips (keys saved as version 2) read right, and renamed dances keep their native clip
- FX tab: emote effects (confetti, hearts, sparkles, fire hands, music notes, dizzy stars, smoke, money, bubbles, lightning, neon trails, feathers, spooky), for every emote or one at a time, with live previews; friends running PoseBox see yours. An effect fades out while a wall hides its skater
- Players' nametags are hidden while the F9 menu is open
- A colour picker (any colour, or type its hex code) beside the preset swatches, for the board's paint and the menu's accent colour
- WHEEL tab: every page's slots, to play, reorder, take off or clear; a full page spills onto the next, and right click takes an emote off whichever page it's on
- Dance clips on the board too (the feet kept on the deck), and in a dance party in time with the leader
- Hover previews: a card beside the menu plays a hovered dance on a mannequin of your skater
- Pose editor: a move / rotate gizmo on the chosen part (arrows along an axis, rings about one; W / E / Q)
- Dance tools: packs whose clips are named like "DanceLoop" (no space) pair their intro and loop, and songs are found in a folder named for the dance wherever it sits in the pack
1.2.0
Better imported dances.
- Imported dances play as real game clips on foot (tools/build_clips.py): posed exactly as Unity would pose them (its muscle math, ported from civbb and checked against Unity to 0.05 degrees) on the skater's own skeleton, with the feet on the dancer's spots and on the ground. Other players see them too. On the board they are posed bone by bone as before
- Bone-by-bone dances: feet no longer flip when a dance turns round; torso bends the right way and amount
- Imported dances match the dancer better (rebuild them with tools/build_dances.py): elbows point the way the dancer's upper arms do (bent wrists no longer throw them over the head), knees follow the ankles, and on foot you stand where the dancer stands instead of on your board stance
1.1.0
A new look for the menu.
- Tabs with icons down the side, a page title with a brush stroke, a close button
- Hover, press and switches ease; panels slide in and out; lists glide and their scroll bars drag
- The game's own menu sounds (can be turned off)
- Tooltips on buttons; little notes when the wheel changes; keys shown as keycaps
- Look & feel settings: accent colour, menu size, left or right side, sounds, animations
- The emote wheel is a ring of slices that pops open; emotes on it show their key in the menu
- Search boxes have a clear button
- POSE EDITOR is its own tab, first in the sidebar
- BODY is the whole body (size, proportions with head and hands, morphs); BONES is one part at a time, and says when a BODY slider changes the same part
- "Changing your shape" chips on BODY and BONES: everything changing your shape, each with a reset
- Slenderman's stretch moved to CREATURES
- Pose editor: a new panel and timeline (ruler, playhead flag, key snapping, right click to add or delete keys, previous / next key), handles that glow and name themselves, onion skin, rig lines, undo, and keys (Space, K, Del, arrows, M, Ctrl Z / C / V)
- Pose editor: elbow and knee handles to point the bends; a Controls panel in the top right
- Pose editor: turn hands (wrist up / down, side to side, twist) and feet (toe, turn, roll) with sliders or Shift + drag; easing per key (linear, smooth, ease in / out, hold, bounce)
- Pose editor: shoulders, chest and lower back apart, hips slide, head tilt and toes; the side panel is three tabs (Selected / Keys / View) instead of one long list; saved chest and hip angles no longer clip at 10 degrees
- Share emotes you made with friends running PoseBox; they keep them or not
- Emote wheel pages (up to 4), a Recent row in EMOTES, and controller support for the menu and wheel
- Dance music: songs for imported dances (tools/build_sounds.py adds them from the emote packs), heard by friends with PoseBox and the same songs; SETTINGS > SOUND for music, friends' music and volume
- Board size: whole board, deck length / width / thickness, wheel size, and presets (Mini to Monster)
- Ready right after a reload: the skeleton and hand measurements are saved and reused (checked against a few bone lengths first; a different body is measured afresh). Was ~9 s for the skeleton, ~26 s for the hands
