Droplet Modpack
A huge modpack that Aims to keep the same tone, balance, gameplay, and overall feel of vanilla Risk fo Rain 2After a fair while of playing modded Risk of Rain 2 I have decided that I am clearly the authority on the subject and thus should create a modpack of my ideal RoR2 gameplay so that everyone can play the game as it is supposed to be played.
All sarcasm aside I have really been enjoying modding and think sometimes getting into it can be hard (Thunderstore makes it too easy sometimes though) so though I am not the authority on what the best mods are I do think this is a nice place to start if you like the game in it's vanilla form but dream of adding as much content as possible. Think of it as what if Risk of Rain 2 kept being updated for years to come with tons of new content DLC after DLC until there is basically double the amount of content from the base game now. that's what this mod pack does just more stuff all round :)
The other big benefit of picking a mod pack in general is that you don't know what you are downloading! May sounds like a negative on first glance but what this means is that you get the experience of seeing all the new content and unlocking it when you boot up the game instead of knowing what you are getting from get go because you picked it out. point being you get to go in blind which can be fun
In brief summary (because that's kind of the point of a readme section I guess) this mod pack adds new player characters, skills and skins for some old characters, enemies and bosses, elite types, stages, balance changes, items, interactables, artifacts, and some new features like teammate revival and Split screen (without console commands), and always better UI (because obviously, it is a must).
note:
- keep all mods updated not just on the version suggested by the pack
- I run the mod WhatamIlooking at with the pack to figure out where every thing comes from (which mod), it can be a bit annoying at times if you just wanna play the game (thus why it is not in the pack but if you are intrested very useful)
Give it a try :)
this modpack is brought to you by anyone too lazy to download mods individually
Future Updates
- replace website placeholder link with something (probably a discord account of questions)
- Make my own mods? (I really want to but have never used unity past messing around with a tutorial once or twice)
