TidyAllies

Turrets and drones no longer push your party off the screen.

TidyAllies

Every minion you own -- turrets, drones, Beetle Guards, Squid Polyps -- normally gets its own ally card. Bring a few and the left side of your screen fills up.

TidyAllies folds them into a row of small icons underneath their owner's card. Each icon is that minion's own portrait, and it drains from the bottom as the minion loses health, so you can still tell at a glance which one is about to die. One card per player, however many minions they are dragging around.

What else changed

  • Your own card is shown. The vanilla HUD only lists other players, so playing solo left you with nothing but a stack of drone cards.
  • HP numbers on every card, with the percentage next to them. Same values as the health bar in the corner of your screen, down to how shields are counted.
  • Cards match the HUD. Same trapezoid tilt as the rest of the interface, and the background fades out toward the right edge.
  • Spacing. Cards no longer overlap when the party is full, and the contents are no longer glued to the edge of the panel.

Only you need it

This is a display mod. It reads nothing over the network and writes nothing -- hideAllyCard is a SyncVar and is deliberately left alone. Install it on your own game and it works whether you host or join, with or without other people running it.

Configuration

Everything is adjustable in-game through Risk of Options, or in BepInEx/config/OchaDashiMan.TidyAllies.cfg.

Icon Size / Spacing how big the minion icons are and how far apart
Icon Area Width how much width they may use before they start overlapping
Card Padding gap between the card background and its contents
Player Gap gap between one player's card and the next
Colours fill, drained, and the low-health tint
Show Self turn your own card back off
Enabled turn everything off and get the vanilla cards back

When you have more minions than fit, the icons overlap rather than being cut off, the same way vanilla stacks cards when the party is large. Nothing you own disappears from the display.

Compatibility

Requires nothing beyond BepInEx. Risk of Options is optional and only adds the in-game settings menu. Mods that replace the HUD wholesale may conflict.
