Young NejiHyuga
Young Neji Hyuga: Gentle Fist, Chakra Points, defensive Rotation, Substitution and a staged 64 Palms barrage. English/Japanese voices. Developed with extensive AI assistance.Young Neji Hyuga
Bring the Hyuga prodigy to Risk of Rain 2 with a mobile five-hit Gentle Fist combo, defensive Palm Rotation, directional Substitution, and a staged Eight Trigrams: 64 Palms barrage. Build personal Chakra Points to strengthen Rotation and prepare enemies for the ultimate.
Choose Young Neji - English Voice or Young Neji - Japanese Voice. Both use the same appearance. The kit includes source-based movement and attacks, a natural extra-jump flip, pale Byakugan eyes, supplied final icons, and cosmetic death ragdolls.
Abilities
| Slot | Ability | Default behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Passive | Byakugan | Detect nearby enemies and available interactables within 60 m at level 1, gaining 2.5 m per additional character level. Pale enemy dots are distinct from amber interactable markers. |
| Primary | Gentle Fist: Chakra Points | Hold for five mobile strikes: 255% / 255% / 318.75% / 318.75% / 510% damage. Each direct hit builds a personal Chakra Point. |
| Secondary | Eight Trigrams: Palm Rotation | Hold for up to 4 seconds. Deal 325% contact damage every 0.25 seconds within 4 m while moving slowly in a protective chakra torrent, reflecting incoming projectiles and beams back at their attackers. 8-second cooldown after ending. |
| Utility | Substitution Jutsu | Travel up to 24 m along full aim when holding forward; otherwise follow movement, or escape backward without movement input. Collision limits travel. 6-second cooldown. |
| Special | Eight Trigrams: 64 Palms | A reachable enemy within the inner 8 m sphere enables a snapshot throughout the outer 22.5 m sphere. Up to 64 strikes at 187.5% damage each on a fixed approximately 5.5-second timeline, before Chakra Points. Attack speed does not shorten this technique. 18-second cooldown. |
Controls use the standard remappable skill slots. Tap Special once to complete the barrage; releasing it does not cancel. A fresh Jump or Sprint press, or Substitution, deliberately cancels remaining strikes without refund. Rotation ends on release and can be cancelled with Substitution.
Chakra Points
Each Neji stores up to 8 points per enemy, lasting 6 seconds, refreshed only by direct primary hits. Each point adds 5% damage, up to 40%.
- Rotation contact and returned damage use this Neji's current points on the enemy receiving that damage. Rotation does not consume, refresh or generate points.
- 64 Palms snapshots and consumes personal points at activation, preserving the target-specific bonus for its remaining strikes. It cannot build its own points.
- Item procs and reflected attacks do not generate points. Multiple Nejis do not share stack ownership.
Rotation damage is base event damage × (1 + 0.05 × current points). Wisp/Golem retaliation minimums are resolved first, then the point bonus is applied once. The ultimate has a finite 12,000% base total against one surviving target, or 16,800% with eight snapshotted points. Strike 64 is the finisher; there is no additional damaging blast.
Defense and mobility
Rotation has been checked against Lesser Wisp blasts, Stone Golem lasers, Blind Pest spit, Lemurian fireballs and the Stone Titan sustained laser. Reflected physical projectiles travel at twice incoming speed and five times their pre-point damage. Wisp counters have a full-health floor and golem laser counters a half-health floor, accounting for ordinary armor. Special immunity and unusual defenses still apply. Rotation does not protect against environmental hazards or unrelated damage-over-time effects. Please report the enemy and attack name if a projectile or beam bypasses Rotation, so that specific interaction can be investigated.
Substitution follows full upward/downward aim when forward input is held, checks its path and destination, and resets previous falling momentum only after successful travel. It preserves remaining extra jumps. A subsequent fall can still cause damage.
64 Palms holds a stable attack position while airborne and restores normal falling afterward. Its target snapshot stays anchored to the original field; newly arriving enemies are not added. It ends when the budget is spent, deliberately cancelled, or no valid safely reachable targets remain. A confirmed early clear may play one of four approved victory lines in the selected language, using shuffled groups without immediate repeats.
Presentation and configuration
The release candidate retains the approved model, primary choreography, running, airborne motion, bilingual voice options and final icons. Primary contact particles now require a confirmed damaging hit. Rotation visuals belong to their active cast, and 64 Palms starts directly into its opening strikes with a fixed full-count recording, sharper final palm and directional chakra wake. Crisp source-based palm accents accompany confirmed contacts. Body-shaped chakra-line networks are deferred and not included.
The ragdoll begins from the death pose, accepts a capped killing impulse, collides with terrain without blocking characters, and expires after 12 seconds. At most six Neji corpses are retained locally. Corpses have no damage or gameplay authority.
Settings are generated under the existing henry.YoungNeji configuration identity. Internal body/skill/skin IDs remain stable. The isolated RC already contains the new primary values. If carrying forward an older playtest configuration, set only Hit1Damage through Hit5Damage to 2.55, 2.55, 3.1875, 3.1875, 5.1 to match this candidate; old configuration entries take precedence over plugin defaults. Preserve unrelated settings.
Verification and limitations
See the accompanying RC02 verification report for focused live-game results. The approved full English/Japanese 5.5-second edits are retained at their existing pitch and delivery; the former accelerated, abbreviated count branch is removed. At high attack speed, primary still accelerates, while Rotation keeps its existing cadence and 64 Palms keeps its authored sequence.
Independent multiplayer remains unverified, including remote ragdoll impulse and corpse presentation. Corpse physics are local cosmetic simulation and can differ between clients. Stage-unload cleanup follows scene object lifetime but was not separately exercised in this correction pass. Other procedural terrain, modded projectiles and unusual immunity interactions may need further playtesting. Dependencies emit existing game-version/symbol warnings on RoR2 1.5.0; no universal compatibility claim is made.
