PausedTimerOnTP
Pauses the run timer when the teleporter boss is defeated and resumes it on the next stage. Difficulty scaling pauses with it. Host-side only.PausedTimerOnTP
Pauses the run timer as soon as the teleporter boss is defeated, so time spent finishing the charge and looting doesn't cost you run time. The timer resumes normally when the next stage loads.
What it does
- Timer pauses when the teleporter boss dies. If a Mountain Shrine added extra bosses, it waits until all of them are dead. Other boss fights (shrine guardians, Void Fields, etc.) don't count.
- Difficulty scaling pauses too. The game drives difficulty from the same timer, so enemies won't scale up while you finish the charge.
- Resumes on the next stage, including after the Bazaar.
- Works on any stage with a teleporter, including the Primordial Teleporter.
- Prefer a different moment? Switch to pausing on teleporter activation or at 100% charge in the config.
Multiplayer
Only the host needs the mod. The timer is server-authoritative, so clients see the paused time automatically. Clients who have it installed in someone else's lobby are unaffected.
Configuration
BepInEx/config/Bruce.PausedTimerOnTP.cfg (or the config editor in r2modman):
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
Enabled |
true |
Master switch. Turning it off mid-stage releases the timer immediately. |
PauseTrigger |
OnBossDefeated |
OnBossDefeated pauses when the teleporter boss is killed. OnActivation pauses the moment the teleporter is activated. OnChargeComplete pauses at 100% charge. |
Compatibility
No R2API dependency. Should be compatible with most mods; anything else that edits the run stopwatch (speedrun timers, pause mods) may conflict.
