🪑 Custom Idle Points for Employees
In Schedule 1, your staff work hard — until they don't. And when they're not busy, they become hallway decoration. This mod changes that.
✨ What It Does
With Custom Idle Points, you can assign designated loitering zones for your underworked minions.
- Want Janice to chill by the vending machine instead of breathing down your neck? Done.
- Need Dave to stop pacing around the server room like a ghost with unfinished business? You got it.
Perfect for:
- Micromanagers
- Roleplayers
- Anyone sick of hallway traffic jams caused by idle workers doing the awkward stand-around shuffle
🛠 Features
- 🎯 Assign specific idle points for employees when they’re off-duty
- 🧠 Works with the existing schedule UI — no black magic required
- 🚧 Supports multiple idle zones (adds variety to your slacking)
- 🦶 Keeps employees out of your way and out of the hall
🧩 How It Works
A new option in the schedule screen lets you set an Idle Point for each employee.
Steps:
- Use the management board to select an employee.
- Go to their schedule UI.
- Press
F4
to set your current position as their idle point. - That’s where they’ll go when not on task — no more haunting random corners like ghosts of productivity past.
Bonus: Use this to stage weird social experiments. What happens if you assign everyone to idle in the same broom closet? Science awaits.
📦 Installation
- Requires Schedule 1
- Drop the mod folder into your
Mods
directory.
⚠️ Compatibility & Notes
- Compatible with most mods — unless they also override idle behavior (then it’s a cage match).
- May introduce performance overhead. For best results:
- Use it, save your game, then unload the mod.
- Doesn’t prevent existential crises in employees. That’s on you.
