Flash Light Enhanced

Version 1.2.0 | By RebornReaper | Schedule I, Windows IL2CPP

Customise your flashlight with Lumen: a visual colour picker, six colour presets, and sliders for brightness, distance and beam angle.

Updating from 1.0.0

This update moves Flash Light Enhanced to its Sideload edition. Future updates on this listing use SL. The earlier S1API edition is a legacy version. If you prefer to stay on it for now, keep your existing 1.0.0 installation.

  • Sideload is now required. The manifest adds it as an automatic dependency.
  • FLE no longer requires S1API. Keep S1API if other installed mods need it.
  • Your settings carry over through the existing FlashLightEnhanced.json file.
  • The new DLL is FlashLightEnhancedSL.dll. Install one FLE edition only; remove any old manual copies of FlashLightEnhanced.dll or the preview DLL.
  • Lumen is the settings interface. The old main-menu Mod Manager panel is not included in SL; you can also edit the JSON file manually.

Requirements

The manifest requests LavaGang-MelonLoader-0.7.3 and DooDesch-Sideload-1.35.0. Dependencies are separate packages and are not bundled. SL itself does not require S1API or Mod Manager & Phone App.

Install or update through a mod manager

  1. Close the game and select your Schedule I IL2CPP profile.
  2. Install/update Flash light Enhanced and allow its required dependencies.
  3. Check that the profile has only the new FLE DLL, FlashLightEnhancedSL.dll. Remove older manually installed FLE DLLs from the game/profile Mods folders.
  4. Launch through the manager, load a save, open the phone and select Lumen.

Do not install a second FLE edition alongside this package. SL refuses to run when it detects the old standard or preview assembly.

Manual installation

  1. Close the game. Install MelonLoader and Sideload from their official downloads.
  2. Remove FlashLightEnhanced.dll and any previous FLE preview DLL from Mods. Keep backups outside Mods.
  3. Copy Mods/FlashLightEnhancedSL.dll from this archive into your game's Mods.
  4. Load a save and open Lumen on the phone.

The interface and phone icon are embedded. icon.png, manifest.json and this README are package metadata; no default JSON is included to overwrite settings.

Lumen controls

Control Meaning
Custom appearance Enable custom values, or restore captured vanilla light values
Colour square Click/drag to choose colour saturation and brightness
Rainbow strip Click/drag to choose hue
Quick colours White, lime, cyan, purple, amber and red presets
Hex field / Use Enter an exact #RRGGBB colour
Output Brightness, 0–10
Projection Distance, 1–200
Spread Beam angle, 1–179 degrees

Drag the sliders or use their minus/plus buttons. Swatches and handles update while dragging; numbers and hex update on release.

Apply saves all edits together. Apply * indicates unsaved changes. The flashlight updates within about a second after saving. Draft edits do not change the beam until Apply. The game still controls switching the flashlight on/off.

Restore defaults immediately saves white (#FFFFFF), Output 3, Projection 40 and Spread 80, retaining the committed Enabled setting. It replaces unsaved edits too. These are FLE defaults, not measured vanilla values.

Reload saved discards the draft. Back, Escape, right-click or closing the phone discards unsaved edits when Lumen is next opened. Errors and external-edit conflicts show a message when needed. Short screens can scroll, with the bar hidden.

Settings and previous previews

Settings remain at UserData/FlashLightEnhanced.json in the active game/profile. The keys remain Enabled, LightColor, Intensity, Range and SpotAngle. Check the MelonLoader log for the exact path. Valid manual edits reload; invalid edits or failed writes retain the last valid values.

Support and compatibility

Built against Schedule I 0.4.7f12, MelonLoader 0.7.3 and Sideload 1.35.0. The experimental Sideload integration and drag fix were tested in-game by the author. Multiplayer is unverified.

For problems, include game, MelonLoader and Sideload versions, reproduction steps, host/client status if applicable, and relevant MelonLoader log entries. No Lumen icon usually calls for checking missing dependencies or conflicting Flash Light Enhanced DLL's.

Uninstall or return to a legacy version

Uninstall through the manager, or remove FlashLightEnhancedSL.dll from Mods. Settings can be retained. Keep dependencies needed by other mods. If returning to legacy FLE, remove SL first and install that older edition's dependencies.
