Custom Loading Screens

Use your own custom images to replace the in-game loading screens! Add your images to a designated folder (customizable), and the mod will randomly load an image from that folder every time you see a loading screen.Cross-compatible with both IL2CPP (main branch) and Mono (alternate beta branch)!

Supported Game Versions

  • v0.4.6f11 (Gamepad Support update)

Requirements

Installation

  1. Make sure you have the requirements listed above.
  2. Download and install from Thunderstore Mod Manager.
    • If you want to install manually, download and extract the CustomLoadingScreens.dll file into your game's mod directory, e.g. C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\common\Schedule 1\Mods
  3. Start the game! The mod will create folders for your images in the following location:
    ...Schedule 1\User Data\CustomLoadingScreens
  4. Add your custom images to either the BackgroundImages or TutorialBackgroundImages folders (only .JPG, .JPEG, and .PNG files are currently supported).
  5. If the game is still running, trigger a loading screen by loading a saved game, or quitting to the main menu. Your custom images should now be overriding the defaults!

Configuration

This mod uses MelonPreferences-style configuration settings. These settings are created and saved in the following file:
...Schedule 1\User Data\MelonPreferences.cfg

Default Config

["Custom Loading Screens"]
enabled = true ; Whether the mod is enabled or not
baseFolder = "" ; Custom directory for loading screen images, defaults to UserData\CustomLoadingScreens if not set
useNormalImagesForTutorial = true ; If true, uses images in 'BackgroundImages' folder for the tutorial loading screens. If false, uses images in the 'TutorialBackgroundImages' folder.
watchFolders = true ; If true, enables watching the custom images folders for changes and loads new images on the fly.
logMissingImagesOnce = true ; Whether missing images should be logged to the console once, or every time they are attempted to load.
