- Turns off the game's
forceSteamInputflag, so text fields no longer lock input waiting for Steam's floating keyboard on PC. - Safety net: re-enables input within 0.25s if the game is waiting for a Steam floating keyboard that never closes (60s on Proton/Steam Deck).
- Clears text fields that stay selected after their window closes and swallow every key.
- Clears a stuck "typing" flag that blocks interactions.
- Repairs frozen popup animations, a stuck interaction cooldown, an orphaned key remapper, and unassigned keyboard or disabled keyboard maps in Rewired.
- Keyboard watchdog comparing what Windows sees with what Rewired sees.
- Failsafe: hold ESC for 2 seconds, or press Ctrl+Shift+K (twice to also reinitialize Rewired's keyboard).
- Input-state snapshots in the BepInEx log when ESC is about to be dropped.
