No Abomination

A simple BepInEx mod for SULFUR that removes Abomination from the game.

What This Mod Does

This mod prevents Abomination from staying in the active game scene.

It scans the currently loaded scene and destroys GameObjects whose names match the configured blocked enemy name.

Default blocked name:

Abomination

Purpose

The goal of this mod is simple:

Make Abomination not appear in normal gameplay.

This mod does not edit original game files.

Installation

Thunderstore / r2modman

Install the mod through Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman.

Make sure the required BepInExPack dependency is installed.

Manual Installation

  1. Install BepInExPack for SULFUR.
  2. Start the game once so BepInEx creates its folders.
  3. Place NoAbomination.dll into:
BepInEx/plugins/
  1. Start the game.

Configuration

After launching the game once with the mod installed, a config file will be generated at:

BepInEx/config/kumo.sulfur.no_abomination.cfg

Default settings:

[General]

BlockedNames = Abomination
ScanIntervalSeconds = 2
LogRemovals = false

BlockedNames

Names of objects to remove.

Default:

BlockedNames = Abomination

You can add multiple name fragments separated by commas:

BlockedNames = Abomination,ExampleEnemyName

Be careful with broad names. For example, using a faction name or a very common word may remove unintended objects.

ScanIntervalSeconds

How often the mod checks the active scene.

Default:

ScanIntervalSeconds = 2

Lower values remove matching objects faster, but may cost more performance.

Higher values are safer for performance.

LogRemovals

Whether to write removal logs to:

BepInEx/LogOutput.log

Default:

LogRemovals = false

Set it to true only for testing.

Notes

This mod currently removes matching objects after they appear in the scene.

It does not directly modify the enemy spawn table.

If the game updates and Abomination's internal object name changes, the default configuration may stop working. In that case, update BlockedNames in the config file.

Compatibility

This mod requires BepInEx.

It should be compatible with most other mods unless another mod changes enemy spawning or object names.

Uninstallation

Remove this file:

BepInEx/plugins/NoAbomination.dll

Optionally remove the config file:

BepInEx/config/kumo.sulfur.no_abomination.cfg
