Search bar above the backpack whenever the inventory is open. It matches item names in the game language and in English, oil and scroll names, and what an item's description says it does: effects, healing, buffs, statuses and stats. Chinese names also match pinyin, typed in full or as initials. Several words must all match.
Category buttons for oils, scrolls, weapons, attachments and consumables. The gamepad View/Select button cycles them.
Items that do not match fade out and matches get a frame, in the backpack and in an open stash or weapon rack.
A counts line shows where the matches are, in the backpack and in every storage whether open or not, and expands into a list of the matching items in each place. It sits under the search bar by default, or above it with the Results Position setting.
In the church, storages holding matches show a floating label visible through walls. When a storage stands in several places, only the nearest is labelled.
A checkbox with a gun icon also finds weapons by the oils and scrolls applied to them.
Ctrl+F jumps to the search box. While typing, the inventory shortcuts are paused and Escape leaves the box.
The game's key hints above the backpack, which the search bar covers, are hidden; the Hide Inventory Key Hints setting brings them back.
Storage, consumable and attachment names use the game's own translations. Rummage's own text is available in all 14 game languages.
