LBOLMP
Adds co-op multiplayer to LBoL, similar to Slay the Spire 2. F2 to open multiplayer menu.LBOL Multiplayer
A co-op multiplayer mod for Lost Branch of Legend!
The entire game is now fully playable in multiplayer, similar to Slay The Spire 2's co-op feature.
The mod currently comes with English and Simplified/Traditional Chinese (zh/hant and zh/hans) translations. Chinese translations done by Lvalon.
How to use
Ensure you have "Bepinex", "Entity Sideloader", "RNG Fix" and "LBOL Multiplayer" subscribed on the workshop and enabled in the modloader.
Press F2 in the main menu to open the multiplayer menu. 1 person should host a session over either Steam or Direct IP. Everyone else can join the session by joining directly over Steam, or with the host's direct IP if direct IP connection was chosen.
Once everyone has joined, you can pick a character on the character select screen, and then click "Confirm". The run will automatically begin once everyone has confirmed.
Multiplayer-specific changes and notes
- Enemies are scaled up to match the amount of players, you can change the values in the Balance settings of the mod in the F2 menu.
- Extra turns are taken at the same time as other players' turns. Go wild!
- When selecting the Act 1 boss, the host decides the actual Act 1 boss that will be fought. Clients will instead decide which shining exhibit they want to get from the boss reward, so that not everyone gets the same Act 1 boss rewards.
- The Border Sensor exhibit is shared between everyone, only 1 player has to do the "questline".
- Eiki Shiki is a shared fight, but the mirror image spawned by her is only fought by each individual player, making this a test of YOUR own deck specifically
- Only the host can decide the difficulty for everyone, but requests can be toggled individually by each player
- Events that lead to combats (Yachie, Miyoi) will initiate a combat for everyone who chose the Fight option. People who didn't choose the Fight option will spectate the fight instead, and will gain no rewards from the combat. This means you can select different event options if you want to.
- If you get defeated, you are out of the current combat. You will revive at the next map node automatically with 20% Max HP, with a "Regret" misfortune added to your deck.
- Clients cannot restart the current level, but the host can. If the host restarts the level, everyone restarts automatically.
- You can right-click your partners to view their current hand, as well as their draw/discard/exile piles, and even their deck!
- Modded characters work, for the most part. Three Fairies of Light are currently incompatible, most other modded characters should work. However, everyone must have the same character mods installed.
The mod is in Beta, some occasional bugs are to be expected!
