The mod works with more than 4 local players. If you have issues with controller input:

• enable Steam Input for Ultimate Chicken Horse
• make sure that all your controllers show up in Steam
• enable Configuration Support for your controller in Controller Settings of Steam
• start the game through Steam

The mod is tested to work with XBOX, PS4 and other generic controllers (mostly via Bluetooth).
