Play as V2 ULTRAKILL
This mod lets you play as the boss V2 by changing some mechanics of the game.
Gameplay Changes
- The player spawns and respawns with 400 health per level instead of 100. Both spawn and respawn health are configurable between values of 1 and 1000.
- There are extra healthbars up to 1000 health for clarity. The colors of all healthbars are configurable.
- Healing from blood and parrying is disabled, but higher style decreases damage taken.
- ANARCHIC grants 15% damage reduction, SUPREME 30%, SSADISTIC 45%, SSSHITSTORM 60% and ULTRAKILL 80%. The values for each style rank, including the ranks below those listed, are configurable.
- When starting a new save, the player will start with the Knuckleblaster. Toggleable.
- If this option is toggled, the Feedbacker will be equipped in 1-4 instead of the Knuckleblaster.
- The textures of V1 and V2 are swapped in a majority of in-game instances. Toggleable on both ends.
- The Default Revolver can shoot three bullets in burst, with a longer cooldown afterwards. Toggleable.
- The Rocket Launcher can shoot three rockets in burst, with a long cooldown afterwards. Toggleable.
- In moments between combat, the player can use blood collected during battles to heal, although style points will be lost. Toggleable, but off by default.
- The default key to activate healing is T; this keybind is configurable.
- The text of the game's introduction is slightly changed.
- In the Cyber Grind, the player only gains back their health every 5 waves.
- Cyber Grind and level score submissions are disabled.
- The mod works with many custom levels, although some custom levels or instances of texture swaps in said levels may be broken.
Development
I'm a near complete novice to coding and modding, so even though my personal playtesting showed little to no issues, this mod may be buggy. You can report bugs by pinging me in the New Blood Discord.
At this point, I would say most major features I wanted to add to this mod are implemented. Future updates will most likely just be minor features, bug fixes, or upkeeping for newer game versions. Some possible new features are listed below:
- Possibly add healing for the V2 bosses, if V1 textures are toggled
- Possibly change arm models for V1 (Knuckleblaster in Clash Mode) and V2 (Feedbacker in Clair de Lune)
- Possibly change other text throughout the game
