BloodDrop

BloodDrop is a ForgeSeries server-only mod for V Rising. Ordinary NPCs can drop a native blood bottle matching their blood type and quality when they die.

No client mod, commands, custom UI, RedCore, or Vampire Command Framework is required.

Configuration

After the first server launch, edit BepInEx/config/BloodDrop.cfg:

[BloodDrops]
Enabled = true
DropChancePercent = 100
DropOnFeedingKills = true

Restart the server after changing settings. The default chance is 100% for initial testing. Lower it for normal live-server use if the additional ground loot is excessive.

  • Players and V Bloods are excluded.
  • NPCs without valid blood are excluded.
  • Feeding deaths qualify only when enabled.
  • The bottle preserves the NPC's blood type and quality.
  • Blood quality is separate from blood-pool volume; drinking the native bottle refills blood normally.

Manual installation

  1. Install BepInExPack V Rising 1.733.2 on the dedicated server.
  2. Copy BloodDrop.dll into the server's BepInEx/plugins folder.
  3. Start the server.

BloodDrop writes no custom log messages and has no automatic error-triggered shutoff. It processes death events instead of scanning all NPCs. Every successful drop still creates native ground loot, so a 100% chance can add load during mass kills.
