BoatAdditions Valheim 1.0 Compatibility

AWL Gaming compatibility patch for blacks7ar's BoatAdditions 1.4.2 on Valheim 1.0.

This package does not redistribute BoatAdditions. It contains only AWL-authored compatibility code and requires the original BoatAdditions 1.4.2 mod.

What it fixes

BoatAdditions 1.4.2 still provides its boats, anchors, lamps, boatyard, recipes, storage, configuration, and assets, but an obsolete build-menu availability hook from the pre-1.0 game API can fail on current Valheim.

This compatibility plugin removes only those obsolete hooks after BoatAdditions loads. The rest of BoatAdditions remains untouched.

Installation

Thunderstore / Gale

Install this package normally. Thunderstore declares blacks7ar-BoatAdditions-1.4.2 as a dependency.

Hexium / Gale

Hexium does not currently host the original BoatAdditions package. Install blacks7ar-BoatAdditions 1.4.2 from Thunderstore in Gale, then install this compatibility package.

Install the compatibility plugin anywhere BoatAdditions is installed. For a modded dedicated server pack, keep it on both the server and clients so everyone uses the same compatibility layer.

Compatibility scope

• Target: BoatAdditions 1.4.2
• Target game: Valheim 1.0
• Newer BoatAdditions versions are not modified automatically. If the original author releases a compatible update newer than 1.4.2, this patch intentionally stands down.

FAQ

Does this replace BoatAdditions?

No. The original BoatAdditions 1.4.2 is required.

Does this contain the original mod's DLL or assets?

No. It contains only AWL-authored compatibility code, documentation, and package metadata.

What content is changed?

No boats, recipes, assets, balance, storage sizes, anchors, lamps, or configuration values are replaced. The patch only removes obsolete availability hooks that are incompatible with the current Valheim API.

Where should I report problems?

Report compatibility issues through AWL Gaming. Issues with the original BoatAdditions content itself remain with the original project.
