🔨 Aicho Advanced Building 🔨
- Aicho Advanced Building gives you full control over how you place pieces in Valheim: free rotation on all three axes with an on-screen gizmo, precise movement with the keyboard and mouse wheel, a freeze option, a free camera to build where you can't reach, and area repair. Everything works in normal (survival) play and is built with clean panels that always show you which keys to press.

🌳 How to start 🌳
- Equip the Hammer (or any build tool) and open build mode.
- Press Shift + E to turn Advanced Building on. Four panels appear on the right side of the screen and the rotation gizmo shows around your piece.
- Press Shift + E again (or put the hammer away) to turn it off. Everything goes back to Valheim's normal behavior.
Every key is shown in the panels, and all of them can be changed in the config file.
🔄 Free Rotation 🔄
A gizmo with three rings shows around the piece: red = X, green = Y, blue = Z.
- Turn the mouse wheel to rotate on Y (green). Hold Ctrl and turn the wheel to rotate on X (red). Hold Alt and turn the wheel to rotate on Z (blue).
- Precision: by default the piece turns in steps of 11.25° (16 steps per 180°). Press F8 to double the steps (finer) or F7 to halve them (coarser), from 2 to 256. The current precision is shown in the panel.
- Global / Local axes (F3): with global axes the piece turns around the point you are aiming at; with local axes it turns around its own center and is placed using the game's own logic, so it doesn't sink into the ground when you rotate it.
- T copies the rotation of the piece you are aiming at. P picks the piece you are aiming at as the piece to build, with its rotation.
- Shift + T flips the piece (its back face ends up in front) without losing its tilt.
- V resets the whole rotation to zero.
| Key ⌨️ | Action |
|---|---|
| Mouse wheel | Rotate on Y |
| Ctrl + wheel | Rotate on X |
| Alt + wheel | Rotate on Z |
| F8 / F7 | More / fewer rotation steps |
| F3 | Switch between global and local axes |
| T | Copy the rotation of the piece you aim at |
| P | Select the aimed piece as the piece to build |
| Shift + T | Flip the piece |
| V | Reset rotation |
↔️ Precise Movement ↔️
Move the piece in small steps instead of depending on where the cursor lands.
- Hold X and turn the wheel: forward / back.
- Hold C and turn the wheel: left / right.
- Hold V and turn the wheel: up / down.
- While you hold one of these keys, a yellow dashed line with arrows shows along the axis you are moving on.
- Step size: normal 0.1 m, hold Shift for 1 m, hold Alt for 0.01 m (1 cm).
- Ctrl + V resets the position offset.
- The offset stays after placing a piece, so you can keep placing identical pieces in the same spot. It resets when you change piece or put the hammer away.
- While you use these keys, X / C / V don't trigger Valheim's own actions (sit, walk toggle, auto pickup, radial menus).
| Key ⌨️ | Action |
|---|---|
| X + wheel | Forward / back |
| C + wheel | Left / right |
| V + wheel | Up / down |
| Shift (while moving) | Large step (1 m) |
| Alt (while moving) | Fine step (1 cm) |
| Ctrl + V | Reset position |
❄️ Freeze Piece ❄️
Press F1 to freeze the piece where it is. You can keep rotating it and, when you place it, the position stays frozen, so you can place several pieces in the exact same spot. Press F1 again, put the hammer away or leave Advanced Building to unfreeze it.
🎥 Free Camera 🎥
Press B and the camera detaches from your character, who stays still. Fly around and place pieces in spots you couldn't reach.
- Requires a workbench near your character (20 m by default) to turn it on and to keep it on. Without one, you'll see "Workbench Required".
- The camera can go up to 60 m away from your character, and it doesn't go through terrain, pieces or rocks.
- Mouse to look, W A S D to move, Space to go up, Ctrl to go down, Shift to go faster.
- Works with the Hammer, Hoe and Cultivator.
- Your equipped Dvergr circlet light follows the camera.
- It turns off when you press B again, when you put the tool away, or when you leave the workbench range.
🛠️ Area Repair 🛠️
When you repair a piece with the hammer (right click, as usual), all damaged pieces within 4 meters are repaired too. It respects other players' wards and the workbench requirement of each piece. It is always on and can be turned off in the config file.
🌍 Language 🌍
All texts appear in Spanish if you play Valheim in Spanish, and in English in any other language. They change by themselves with Valheim's language.
⚙️ Settings ⚙️
The file aicho.buildgizmo.cfg (in BepInEx/config) is created automatically the first time you open the game. It has 56 options in 6 sections:
| Section | What you can change |
|---|---|
| Keys | All rotation and shortcut keys |
| Move | Movement keys, step sizes (0.1 / 1 / 0.01 m), when the offset resets |
| Camara libre | Key, workbench requirement and range, maximum distance, circlet light |
| Reparacion | Turn area repair on or off, and its radius |
| UI | Gizmo colors, opacity, size, brightness and intro animation |
| MoveLine | Show the yellow movement line, its size, color and position |
The panels' look is fixed. You can edit the config in game with a configuration manager (for example Configuration Manager).
📌 Notes 📌
- Client-side: only the player who builds needs the mod. The pieces you place are normal Valheim pieces.
- It does the same job as mods like ComfyGizmo or PerfectPlacement, so don't use them at the same time.
- If you use Infinity Hammer, turn off its movement keys so they don't add up with X / C / V.
- Requires BepInExPack Valheim.
⚡ I hope you enjoy it ⚡
🔨 Aicho Advanced Building 🔨

- Necesita BepInExPack Valheim.
