SnowFarm

Vanilla beehives and birds' nests only produce in Meadows, Black Forest and Plains, and only when the roof/snow coverage is below 60%. Build restriction mods only lift the placement checks, so a hive placed in the Mountains still refuses to make honey.

SnowFarm rewrites the production component itself, so hives and nests work anywhere — Mountains, Deep North, indoors, even fully covered.

What it does

• Rewrites every Heightmap.Biome mask on the beehive / birds' nest components to include the configured biomes (default: the three vanilla ones + Mountain, DeepNorth, Mistlands, Swamp, Ashlands).
• Raises the roof/snow coverage limit (MaxCover, default 1 = always allowed).
• Optionally rewrites the build pieces too, so they can be placed on deep snow without another placement mod.
• Works on the prefab (all newly built pieces) and on live instances (already built pieces).

It uses reflection and does not hard-code the nest's component class, so beehive and nest are both covered on a best-effort basis.

Install

1. Install BepInExPack Valheim (dependency, handled automatically by r2modman).
2. Drop SnowFarm.dll into BepInEx/plugins/.
3. Install it on the server and on all clients — production is simulated on the server, and every client needs the same component values.

BepInEx/config/snowfarm.valheim.cfg (created after the first launch):

Config changes need a restart (or an area reload) to apply to already built pieces.

Notes

• Existing pieces: pick them up and rebuild, or leave the area and come back after restarting.
• Only affects beehives and birds' nests; other production pieces are untouched.
• Compatible with BuildRestrictionTweaksSync / Infinity Hammer (those handle placement, this handles production). You can uninstall either one if SnowFarm already lets you place.

原版蜂巢/鸟巢只在草地、黑森林、平原产东西，且要求遮蔽度低于 60%。只解除“放置限制”的 mod 不会让雪山 里的蜂巢开始产蜜。本 mod 直接改产出组件里的群系掩码和遮蔽上限，所以雪山、深北、室内都能产出。 服务端和所有客户端都要装。已建好的蜂巢建议拆了重放，或重进区域。
