WorldCleaner
Mark a container to magically collect dropped loot, then let the built-in AutoPicker harvest as you travel. Nearby chest delivery and searchable virtual overflow storage keep resources flowing. Obviously cheaty!World Cleaner
Leave the loot. Keep the resources.
Mark a container and let World Cleaner magically suck up dropped items from your world. Turn on the built-in AutoPicker to pop nearby pickables as you travel, and let your cleaner handle eligible dropped loot while you keep exploring.
Great for Vikings who need resources but never seem to have enough inventory space to carry them home.
Obviously cheaty! This mod is for players who want less hauling, less clicking, and more resources waiting back at base.

Installation
Mod manager
Install WorldCleaner with Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman. The required BepInExPack Valheim dependency installs automatically. Launch the game through the mod manager.
Manual
- Install BepInExPack Valheim.
- Copy
BepInEx/plugins/WorldCleaner/WorldCleaner.dllfrom this package into the same path inside your Valheim installation. - Launch Valheim once to generate the configuration file.
For multiplayer collection and shared storage, install the mod on the server/host and participating clients. Server policy controls access to cleaner marking, AutoPicker, wild-container looting, and replanting.
Quick start
- Place a chest where you want your resources delivered.
- Stand within 8 metres of an accessible chest. Make sure the intended chest is the nearest one.
- Press Left Ctrl + Left Shift + F8 to mark it as a World Cleaner. Use the same shortcut to unmark it.
- Press Left Ctrl + Left Shift + F9 to enable AutoPicker, then explore and harvest as you travel.
- Open the marked cleaner to browse physical and virtual storage, or press Left Ctrl + Left Shift + F10 to open virtual storage.
Collection is enabled by default. AutoPicker is disabled by default until you enable it.
Default controls
| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Mark/unmark the nearest chest | Left Ctrl + Left Shift + F8 |
| Toggle AutoPicker | Left Ctrl + Left Shift + F9 |
| Open virtual storage | Left Ctrl + Left Shift + F10 |
Shortcuts can be changed in the configuration file or through BepInEx Configuration Manager if installed. Configuration Manager is optional.
How collection works
The cleaner handles dropped items, while AutoPicker performs nearby harvest interactions. AutoPicker has its own toggle and can run independently of the cleaner. This combination lets you harvest while travelling and collect eligible drops without carrying every resource yourself.
World scanning and transfers run incrementally. This is not an instant sweep of every item on the map: discovery, loaded state, access rules, grace periods, storage capacity, and performance settings affect when a drop can be collected.
At the defaults:
- Newly observed drops have a 5-second grace period.
- Drops within 100 metres of other connected players are excluded. This exclusion does not apply to the local/solo host.
- Nearby chest delivery searches within 50 metres of the cleaner.
- Virtual overflow storage is enabled, with a default 4096 MB disk cap per world.
- AutoPicker uses a 5-metre radius.
- Moving unloaded dropped-item records near the cleaner is disabled.
Collection.StageUnloadedDropsenables that optional behaviour; persistent discovery alone does not load those drops.

Compatibility
- Disable standalone ComfyAutoPicker when using the integrated AutoPicker. If the standalone plugin is detected, the integrated picker suspends itself to prevent double harvesting.
- SpiritStorage integration is optional. Supported vessels can act as cleaner anchors and delivery destinations when that mod is installed.
- Optional SeneaL UI / MidgardPlus integrations are included for supported interfaces and crafting flows. They are not required dependencies.
- Without a World Cleaner server connection, the standalone AutoPicker option can allow local harvesting and native wild-container looting. Shared archive access and server collection require the server plugin.
- Wild-container looting excludes player-built chests, graves, carts, and ships. Access and native Take All checks still apply.
- Modded archived items require their original item mods to remain available for restoration.
Saves and troubleshooting
Back up your world, character, and World Cleaner archive/recovery data before changing or removing the mod. Virtual storage is separate from the chest's physical inventory; withdraw archived resources before uninstalling. Keep the storage key and associated archive data consistent with the world that uses them.
If a chest will not mark, move closer, check access, close its inventory, and confirm the chest owner/server has the mod installed. If collection seems delayed, check AutoPicker status, player exclusions, storage space, and unloaded-drop settings.
For help, include BepInEx/LogOutput.log, your installed mods, and a short description of the problem. This package contains plugin version 0.31.0; the supplied DLL's file version is 0.31.0.1.
