UNOFFICIAL Adventure Map Modpack
[UNOFFICIAL] Modpack to use with ninebyte & DhakhaR's Adventure Map. Aimed to keep inteded progression and gamefeel feel with some Qol + Performance changes (render and networking).IF YOU MAKE YOUR OWN EDITS THEY WILL BE OVERWRITTEN EVERY UPDATE!
MAKE BACKUPS OF YOUR UPDATES AND APPLY THEM AFTER EACH UPDATE TO KEEP THEM!
You could also instead just Uninstall or Disable the Modpack after running the game once (ONLY the modpack, not the mods it installed by it). There won't be any major updates for a good while unless something breaks so I wouldn't worry too much about this.
To do this make a copy of the .cfg file of the mod(s) you've edited (preferably in another folder but you could rename the copy of the file or something)and overwrite the .cfg generated by the update.
Post-Installation Instructions
A few short steps to ensure the mods display the adjustments properly
-
Run Valheim and go into the world.
-
Quit the game
-
Go to your mod configuration folder and open the "Almanac" folder within. (C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\r2modmanPlus-local\Valheim\profiles\ModProfileName\BepInEx\config\Almanac)
-
DELETE THE CONTENTS OF THE "BOUNTIES", "TREASURES", "ACHIEVEMENTDATA", "CREATURES" AND "FILTERS" FOLDERS
-
Go to your mod configuration folder and open the "Azumatt.MinimalUI_Backgrounds" folder within. (C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\r2modmanPlus-local\Valheim\profiles\ModProfileName\BepInEx\config\Azumatt.MinimalUI_Backgrounds)
-
DELETE ANY UNZIPPED FOLDERS THAT AREN'T "Aldhari_Kaleidescope_Edit"
-
Run Valheim and go into the world again.
-
Open Almanac in game (F6 or its icon in the tab menu) and see if there are any achievements present.
-
If they are there, you're good to go!
IF THEY AREN'T THERE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CLOSE THE GAME AND REDOWNLOAD THIS MODPACK. THE NEXT TIME YOU RUN THE GAME THEY WILL BE THERE
Optional - Suggestions on setting up Valheim Legends
Valheim Legends Token Altar where you can set/change your class is the Eikthyr Altar. However since that either takes you off the intended path or makes you wait until you fight Eikthyr to set a class - I have a few suggestions if you want to have classes from game start.
-
Type the class you want to use with the mod configuration manager in game (F1) and reload to make it apply. Or mod the .cfg file directly. (edit Line:412 "chosenClass = None" change "None" to the class you want to play) The In-Game Compendium/ Modpack Wiki has the class name list.
-
With admin permissions (Look here if you don't know how to set it them) go to where you want to place the class change altar (I HIGHLY suggest an open area, ~10m circle minimum to not look weird) and press F5 to open the command console and paste the following line.
spawn_location Eikthyrnir
If you want to remove the altar, use the Blueprint Rune's deletion tool
Notes
Will note major changes to .cfg & things I feel are important to know here
EVERY MOD IS OPTIONAL
If you don't want to a mod in the pack feel free to uninstall it, it won't cause any issues. Just make sure you don't also uninstall dependents.
Updating the mods is also fine, if there is an issue I'll push an update
Make sure you check the WIKI for Keybinds and other basic instructions!

Almanac
- Added about 10 achievements to help with keeping track of progression and give a little more flavor to gameplay, and altered others. ~30 total
- IF YOU EQUIP AN ACHIEVEMENT FOR KILLING A BOSS, IT WILL NOW BRIEFLY DISPLAY THE PORTAL CODE TO ENTER THE ARENA PORTAL (WHERE EXP GAINS ARE DISPLAYED) IN CASE YOU MISSED IT WHEN YOU DEFEATED THEM
- Added about 10 achievements to help with keeping track of progression and give a little more flavor to gameplay, and altered others. ~30 total
-
Valheim Legends
- HEAVILY NERFED FROM ITS ORIGINAL VERSION FOR BALANCE
-
Seasons
- Really just a well made mod, fully configurable seasons, seasonal buffs and terrain effects.
-
ComfortCalc
- 25% faster rested buff gain, Rested Potions with a fair crafting recipe based on food items gained throughout the play through.
-
Planbuild
- only here for people who want to blueprint any builds they like, no other mods directly effect building to ensure compatibility.
-
Sneak Camera and Collision Height
- Configured to the shortest crouch settings to make going through cluttered areas easier.
-
Regen While Sitting
- Configured to slightly outpace poison damage, so you can do something when your poisoned post combat besides slowly watching yourself die.
Mods you can/should edit the settings on. (F1 in game for mod settings)
-
MinimalUI Edited customish UI background (Kaleidoscopic Aldhari Edit)
- This is easily changed by changing which of the zip files are unzipped in the "Azumatt.MinimalUI_Backgrounds" FOLDER (See above instructions for a clearer file path ...BepInEx\config\Azumatt.MinimalUI_Backgrounds)
- Pressing F7 in game lets you edit the position and size of the UI
- More options and how to change them here
-
Render Limits
- Pretty self explanatory when you hover over the configuration menu options, preconfigured to a "low" setting to reduce lag in dense areas.
-
Particle Control
- Lets you configure how particles and friends render, also pretty self explanatory in the configuration menu, preconfigured to a "medium" setting
-
Projectile Collision & Smoke Collision
- Does what it says, if it has a slit you can shoot through it. if there's a hole smoke goes through it. Preconfigured with common sense (I hope). Uses a prefab list to define what items are permeable. I would only make some small changes if any (removing stairs from the projectile collision list might save you from some fulings)
- There may be non vanilla items on this list, this effects nothing beyond making it slightly harder to read.
-
Better Networking
- Hover text in config menu is VERY detailed. Go here first if you're still experiencing lag in multiplayer.
-
FramesPerSecondPlus
- For performance and stability, makes certain armor look bad and causes some light effects to persist (yellow mushroom glow will stick to you after picking one up until you tp/die/etc, not very noticeable.) If you don't need this one I suggest you remove it.
If you see any errors thrown about a time/timescale/timer being invalid while looking at something in the BepIn log its because build pieces with a mismatched or no health%/stability field value, it's SAFE TO IGNORE
