Warship

A hand-built Viking warship for Valheim, with its own 3D model, built on top of the Longship. It sails like the Longship but faster, holds more cargo and takes more of a beating.

Features

• Clinker-built hull (19 m) with weathered planks, rivets and tar, and a red top strake with a golden braided pattern.
• Carved dragon head and sternpost with relief carving: eyes, teeth, curling tongue, spirals and diamond patterns.
• 34 painted shields along the sides.
• 8 rowing seats on 4 benches with reindeer furs. The oars actually row when you paddle forward or backward.
• Captain's bench: the helmsman sits down while steering.
• Sea chest on the aft deck holds the cargo, and its lid opens while you use it.
• Lookout platform behind the dragon head: walk up the steps and use Hold the dragon head to stand at the bow.
• Rope ladders on both sides that follow the shape of the hull.
• Slim Corewood mast and yard. The sail and yard turn with the wind.
• Its own build menu icon, rendered from the actual model.

Rowing speed, handling and buoyancy are the same as the Longship.

The Warship shows up in the build menu once you have picked up every material once, so normally at the same time as the Longship.

Configuration

Settings are in BepInEx/config/optiekuniek.drakenschip.cfg (or the Config editor in r2modman):

• [Ship] Speed, StorageWidth (max 8), StorageHeight, Health
• [Model] CustomModel (false = Longship look), Scale, Height, Forward, CorewoodMast
• [Seating] CaptainSits, SeatHeight
• [Test] Switches to hide parts of the model, for troubleshooting only.

Restart the game after changing a setting.

Multiplayer

Every player and the server need this mod (enforced by Jötunn).

Console commands (for testing)

With devcommands enabled, stand at the edge of deep water:

• warship_all puts a Warship in the water, takes photos, sails around and films it. Add keep to leave the ship there afterwards.
• warship_test takes test images of the ship from several angles.
• warship_film sails the ship and films it frame by frame.

Images are saved in the mod's plugin folder.

Installation

Use r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager. For a manual install, put the files from plugins in BepInEx/plugins/Warship/. BepInEx and Jötunn are required.
