SteadyFood
Keep full food health, stamina and Eitr bonuses until the final minute. Configurable fading from 0 to 600 seconds, with server-controlled settings.SteadyFood
Keep the full health, stamina and Eitr bonuses from food until only 60 seconds remain (configurable). During those final seconds, the bonuses decrease linearly until the food expires.
- More than 60 seconds remaining: full food health, stamina and Eitr.
- Exactly 60 seconds: still full strength.
- 30 seconds: half of that food's health, stamina and Eitr bonus.
- Each food is calculated independently.
Food duration, healing, re-eating rules and food regeneration are unchanged. This changes maximum health, stamina and Eitr; it does not instantly heal you or refill stamina or Eitr.
Installation
Requires BepInExPack Valheim and Jötunn on the server and every player's client. Use the same SteadyFood version everywhere.
Extract the prototype ZIP into the test profile's game folder, merging BepInEx, or copy SteadyFood.dll to BepInEx/plugins/SteadyFood/. Restart the game/server after installation. After the first launch, edit BepInEx/config/branchofyore.steadyfood.cfg, or use a compatible in-game configuration manager.
Fade Duration Seconds (whole seconds, 0–600, default 60) controls when the health, stamina and Eitr bonuses start fading:
- 60: full strength until the final minute.
- 600: full strength until the final 10 minutes.
- 0: full strength until the food expires.
The server setting applies to all clients in multiplayer; only admins can change it. In single player you control it yourself. When editing the file directly, close the game/server first and restart afterwards.
This archive is for manual installation; a Thunderstore listing/icon has not been prepared. Other mods that replace food calculations have not been tested together with this mod.
Source
Build src/SteadyFood.csproj in Release. Local Valheim and BepInEx/Jötunn paths can be overridden through MSBuild. Runtime verification lives in tests/Runtime and uses an isolated profile and world.
The old minutes setting is no longer used. Check Fade Duration Seconds after updating: an existing seconds value from 0.1.1 is retained; new configurations default to 60.
