GhostWalk

A Valheim mod that transforms death into an adventure—when you die, become a ghost and walk back to your corpse before reviving.

First time modding, really just wanted to see what was possible with the help of A.I. Played tons of WoW and have spent the last month converting my Valheim experience to match WoW as much as possible. This mod helps scratch that itch a bit more without actually having to go suffer and play WoW,and instead experience it in a different type of format. Mainly for my own dedicated hosted server for my friends and I. Feel free to try it out !

Features

• Spirit Form: Enter ghost mode after death and explore as an ethereal spirit
• Walk Back to Your Corpse: No more painful corpse runs—float back to retrieve your items
• Hidden from Enemies: Enemies won't target or pursue you while you're a ghost
• Spirit of Resurrection: Force-revive on the spot with configurable penalties
• Ghost Music: Play custom music while in spirit form
• Customizable: Full config options for difficulty, visuals, and mechanics

How It Works

1. Die - When you die, you'll respawn at your spawn point
2. Become a Ghost - Automatically enter ghost form if you died far from your respawn point
3. Walk Back - Float as a spirit to your corpse location (marked on minimap)
4. Revive - Interact with your tombstone to revive at full health, or use the Spirit of Resurrection for an instant revive with penalties

Installation

1. Install BepInEx for Valheim
2. Download GhostWalk and extract to your BepInEx/plugins/ folder
3. Launch Valheim and enjoy!

Configuration

All settings can be customized in the config file (ghostwalk.cfg):

• Ghost Speed: How fast you move in spirit form
• Revive Health/Stamina: What % of health/stamina you recover on revive
• Visuals: Enable/disable ghost effects, screen tint, frost aura
• Music: Play custom ghost music (drop ghostwalk\_music.ogg in the mod folder)
• Spirit NPC: Configure revival penalties and sickness duration

Notes

• This mod only affects your own client—ghosted players appear invisible to other players (who also have the mod)
• Works great in both solo and multiplayer
• Fully compatible with other mods
