If you play with a non-English keyboard layout, you know the pain: you open the console, start typing — and the layout is still Russian. After erasing the Cyrillic text, the console sometimes stops accepting input entirely. The chat has its own problems: with the Russian layout active you cannot type /s-style commands, and switching the layout mid-sentence makes the chat lose focus.

ConsoleFix fixes all of that:

Console (F5)

Type commands in Latin regardless of the active layout. Cyrillic letters are transliterated to Latin by physical key positions (standard ЙЦУКЕН → QWERTY): pressing the key labeled "Ф" types A. Works for regular typing and for pasted text (Ctrl+V), uppercase included.
The console no longer "dies" after erasing text. The game's UI framework enables IME composition inside the console field; on some setups, after clearing composed text every following keystroke is silently swallowed. ConsoleFix disables IME composition in the console field (commands are Latin-only anyway) and restores it when the console closes.
Input focus is restored automatically. Vanilla re-activates the input field only after a non-empty command; pressing Enter on an empty line could leave the console unable to accept input. ConsoleFix returns focus while the console is open.

Chat

Slash commands work with the Russian layout. With the Russian layout active, the / key types . — so /s was impossible to type. When you send a message starting with ., ConsoleFix converts .ы привет to /s привет (only if the first word is a known chat command). Regular messages are never touched: ., ... and .тоже скинь are sent exactly as typed, and you can still chat in Russian.
Chat no longer loses input when you switch the layout. If the chat input field silently loses focus (a classic case: Alt+Shift / Win+Space in the middle of a message), ConsoleFix returns the focus while the chat input is open. Typing continues as if nothing happened.

Signs and portals

Renaming a sign or a portal no longer dies when you switch the layout. The modal text dialog (signs, portals) silently loses keyboard focus after Alt+Shift / Win+Space — ConsoleFix returns the focus while the dialog is open and disables IME composition for the time of typing, so the input never gets stuck.

Craft menu search

The craft menu search field survives layout switches. IME composition is disabled while the search field is focused, and if the field loses focus right after you were typing in it (the classic layout-switch case), it wakes up on your next keystroke — clicks on recipes and building with the hammer are not affected.

Notes

Works in both the main menu and in-game console; chat fixes apply in game.
Console-only transliteration. Regular chat messages are not converted — you can still chat in Russian. Only a leading slash-command is translated, and only when it matches a known command.
Console command: consolefix — shows the state of all fixes; consolefix <translit|refocus|ime|chatrefocus|chatslash|textrefocus|textime|craftrefocus|craftime> <on|off> toggles them for the current session.
Config file: BepInEx/config/DEEP_FROST.ConsoleFix.cfg (all fixes on by default).
Client-side only, safe in multiplayer, does not modify the world or your character.

Чинит ввод в консоли разработчика (F5), в игровом чате, в окнах переименования табличек и порталов и в поиске меню крафта. Если вы играете с русской раскладкой, то знаете эту боль: открываешь консоль, начинаешь печатать — а раскладка всё ещё русская. После стирания кириллицы консоль иногда вообще перестаёт принимать нажатия. У чата свои проблемы: в русской раскладке не набрать /s, а при переключении раскладки посреди сообщения чат теряет фокус.

ConsoleFix закрывает всё это:

Консоль (F5)

Команды печатаются латиницей при любой раскладке. Кириллица транслитерируется в латиницу по физическим клавишам (стандартная ЙЦУКЕН → QWERTY): клавиша с буквой «Ф» печатает A. Работает и при наборе, и при вставке текста (Ctrl+V), с учётом регистра.
Консоль больше не «умирает» после стирания текста. UI-фреймворк игры включает IME-композицию (ввод IME) в поле консоли; на некоторых системах после стирания составленного текста все последующие нажатия молча проглатываются. ConsoleFix выключает IME-композицию в поле консоли (команды всё равно только латинские) и возвращает режим обратно при закрытии консоли.
Фокус ввода восстанавливается автоматически. Ваниль возвращает фокус полю только после непустой команды; Enter на пустой строке мог оставить консоль без ввода. ConsoleFix возвращает фокус, пока консоль открыта.

Чат

Слэш-команды работают в русской раскладке. В русской раскладке клавиша / печатает точку — поэтому /s набрать было нельзя. Если отправляемое сообщение начинается с точки, ConsoleFix превращает .ы привет в /s привет (и только если первое слово — известная команда чата). Обычные сообщения не трогаются: ., ... и .тоже скинь уходят как набраны, общаться по-русски можно как раньше.
Чат больше не теряет ввод при переключении раскладки. Если поле чата молча потеряло фокус (классика: Alt+Shift / Win+Space посреди сообщения), ConsoleFix возвращает фокус, пока поле чата открыто. Печать продолжается, как будто ничего не случилось.

Таблички и порталы

Переименование таблички или портала больше не «умирает» при смене раскладки. Модальное окно ввода текста (таблички, порталы) молча теряет фокус клавиатуры после Alt+Shift / Win+Space — ConsoleFix возвращает фокус, пока окно открыто, и на время ввода выключает IME-композицию, чтобы ввод не зависал.

Поиск в меню крафта

Поле поиска в меню крафта переживает смену раскладки. Пока поле поиска в фокусе, IME-композиция выключена, а если фокус слетел сразу после набора (классическая смена раскладки) — поле просыпается на следующей нажатой букве. Клик по рецептам и строительство молотком не затрагиваются.

Примечания

Работает и в консоли главного меню, и в игре; фиксы чата — в игре.
Транслитерация — только в консоли. Обычные сообщения чата не конвертируются, по-русски общаться можно. Переводится только слэш-команда в начале, и только если она известна.
Консольная команда: consolefix — показывает состояние всех функций; consolefix <translit|refocus|ime|chatrefocus|chatslash|textrefocus|textime|craftrefocus|craftime> <on|off> — включает/выключает их до конца сессии.
Конфиг: BepInEx/config/DEEP_FROST.ConsoleFix.cfg (все функции включены по умолчанию).
Только на стороне клиента, безопасен в мультиплеере, не меняет мир и персонажа.
