DropCrate
Massive tree fellings, quarry explosions, goblin camp raids, and heavy base battles can leave hundreds of loose item drops scattered across the ground. Each loose item is a physics-enabled GameObject with lighting, text, particles, and network sync, which severely degrades client FPS and creates screen clutter.
DropCrate solves this problem by monitoring the ground and automatically sweeping dense clusters of loose items into a temporary, reinforced salvage cargo crate.
Key Features
- Anti-Lag Ground Sweeper: Automatically detects when items accumulate on the ground (default 10+ items within 10 meters) and condenses them into a single temporary Drop Crate container.
- Dynamic Absorption: New loose items dropped near an existing Drop Crate are automatically absorbed into it, keeping the immediate area clean.
- Smart Grace Period: Prevents accidental scooping during player-to-player trades with a configurable grace period for manually dropped items (default 6 seconds).
- Map & Mini-Map Visibility: Places a dedicated pin on both the full world map and the mini-map indicating the crate's location and total item count (e.g.
Drop Crate (38 items)). - Amber Beacon Light: Features a warm glowing beacon atop the crate so it is easy to find at night, in dense foliage, or through thick fog.
- Auto-Destruction When Empty: Once all items are looted, the crate and its map pin cleanly self-destruct, leaving no junk or orphan pins behind.
- Persistent & Weatherproof: Rain and structural decay do not harm the crate. Unlooted crates persist in world saves.
- Console Command: Use
dropcrate_sweepin the F5 console at any time to force an immediate scan and consolidation.
