SeedMap
Every boss, trader, dungeon and point of interest of your world on the in-game map, worked out from the seed. Optional fogless biomes. Client-side.SeedMap
See where everything in your world is, right on the in-game map: bosses, traders, burial chambers, troll caves, sunken crypts, frost caves, infested mines, charred fortresses, runestones, dragon egg nests, fuling villages, tar pits, Dvergr outposts and more. Like the online seed maps, but inside the game and in your language.
Client-side only. Install it on your own game; the server and the other players don't need it.
Features
- A panel on the large map (M) to switch each category on or off, with how many of each the world has. It uses the game's own checkboxes, panel and font, and can be folded by clicking its title.
- Biomes without fog: show the whole world's biomes. It only changes what you see; nothing is marked as explored, so switching it off brings your real map back.
- Pins are temporary: they never mix with your own pins and are never saved to your character.
- Boss, trader and biome names come from the game's own translations. The rest of the panel is translated to English, Spanish, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Polish and Italian (other languages use English).
Where the locations come from
- Single player or a world you host: your game is the server, so it reads the real list. Always exact.
- Dedicated servers: clients are never sent the list, so SeedMap works it out from the seed by running the
game's own location placement code, exactly as the server did when it created the world. The first time you
join a world this takes a minute or two in the background (the panel shows the progress); the result is cached
in
BepInEx/cache/SeedMapand loads instantly afterwards.
Tested against real servers: 12,346 of 12,346 locations identical on a world created with the current version, and 12,288 of 12,288 on a world played since earlier versions.
Unique places (Haldor, Hildir, the Bog Witch, the ancient table) have several possible spots until someone finds one; SeedMap shows them all marked "(possible)" and hides them once the game shows the real one.
Limitation: when a big game update changes how locations are placed, servers re-place the locations of unexplored areas around the parts already explored. Worlds that went through that can differ in those areas.
