World Control gives server admins one F8 menu for the stuff I normally wanted to change without using a bunch of different commands or mods.
The admin changes the settings and everyone on the server gets the same result. Normal players do not get the admin controls, but the synced settings still apply to them.
What you can control
- Time of day, including hold and fast-forward
- Weather
- Wind direction and strength
- Random events
- Online players and teleporting
- Saved places
- Presets
- Server announcements
- Terrain tools
- Health, stamina and eitr scaling
- Stamina costs
- Eitr costs
- Adrenaline gain and loss
Player settings
The Players tab also contains the gameplay values.
You can change things like:
- Max health
- Max stamina
- Max eitr
- Stamina regeneration
- Running, jumping, dodging, swimming, sneaking and blocking stamina
- Primary and secondary attack stamina
- Draw/charge and reload stamina
- Building stamina
- Eitr used by attacks, charging and reloading
- Adrenaline from attacks, projectiles, blocks, parries, perfect dodges and more
1.00x is normal Valheim, 0.50x is half and 2.00x is double.
These values are synced by the server, so every player with the mod uses the same settings.
Terrain
The Terrain tab adds a few tools directly to World Control:
- Flatten terrain with a pickaxe while holding RMB
- Change flatten size and edge smoothing
- Square or circle shape
- Paint dirt or keep the current ground texture
- Optional grid movement while flattening
- Change Hoe and Cultivator radius
- Build ramps
- Restore original terrain
Terrain tools are admin-only.
The menu
Press F8 to open World Control.
The window can be dragged around, supports English and German, and Auto follows the game language.
Use Apply everything for normal settings. Everything back to natural is in the top-right next to the close button.
Settings stay active until you change them or reset them. There is no timer anymore.
Server / multiplayer
Install World Control on the server and every client.
Only admins can open and change the World Control settings. Other players still receive the synced player values automatically.
World Control uses Jotunn's required-mod check, so everybody joining a server that uses it needs the mod installed.
Installation
Install:
- BepInExPack for Valheim
- Jotunn 2.30.0 or newer
- World Control 2.6.0
Then install the same version on the server and all clients.
The default menu key is F8.
If you update from an older WorldControl/WindControl version, replace the old DLL instead of keeping both copies installed.
