Building Tweaks
Building rules you choose, longer station upgrade range, no weather damage, area repair, roof swapping, wall rugs and a hoe that really levels.
9 mods in one: Build Restrictions, Station Extension Range, No Weather Damage, Repair Nearby, Roof Swap, Rug Lift, Safe Portals, Spawn-Free Range, Level Strength.
Every mod in detail, with all its settings: see the Wiki tab.
How it works
- Open the settings (F1). At the top, 0 - Sub-mods has a switch for every mod in this pack: turn on only what you want. Switching one off removes it right away, no restart.
- Below that, every mod has its own settings, under its name.
- F1 needs a config manager mod, e.g. ConfigurationManager by shudnal
(included in Digi Modpack). Without one the mods
still run with their default settings, and you can change the settings in r2modman: Config editor →
digi.valheim.building.cfg. - Upgrading from the separate DigiTeam mods: your settings are copied over automatically the first time. Remove the separate ones (a mod that is still installed separately is skipped here).
Mods
Build Restrictions
Choose which building rules apply, set by the host for everyone.
- Switch off any rule on its own: invalid placement, no-build zones, missing workbench, biome limits, dungeons and more, or all at once.
- By default only two are off: you can place things where the game says "Invalid placement" (e.g. a campfire on a wooden floor) and build in dungeons.
- The host sets the rules and they are synced to every player.
Station Extension Range
Station upgrades connect from further away and can stand next to each other.
- Chopping blocks, tanning racks, bellows and more connect from 30 m instead of 5 m.
- Optional own distance per crafting station, modded stations included.
- Applies right away to upgrades you already built.
No Weather Damage
No rain damage on your buildings, and docks don't rot in water.
- Pieces without a roof no longer lose health in the rain (or only partly, or only some pieces: your choice).
- Docks, piers and boathouses in or just above water no longer rot. Ships stay vanilla.
- Snow, ash, lava, support and fire work as normal.
Repair Nearby
Press Keypad + to repair every damaged building piece around you.
- Works within 100 m: no hammer, no workbench, no cost.
- Shows how many pieces were repaired. An English version of EasyRepairArea by Fernasz.
Roof Swap
Swap thatch roofs to darkwood shingles in one click.
- A hammer tool turns a thatch roof piece into the shingle piece of the same shape, at exactly the same spot.
- Hold Left Shift to swap a whole connected roof at once.
- Pays the normal shingle cost from your inventory and nearby chests and gives back the thatch materials. Other players see normal vanilla pieces.
Rug Lift
Needs Nordic Rugs.
Nordic Rugs stop clipping into stone floors, and can hang on walls.
- Wall rugs hang upright or sideways, lined up flat with the wall you aim at.
- Same materials as the floor rug.
Safe Portals
Enemies stop going for your portals: in vanilla every portal is a priority target.
- In vanilla every portal is a priority target: enemies go for it before your other buildings. Now they leave portals alone (they can still hit one by accident).
Spawn-Free Range
Workbenches, campfires and portals keep enemies from spawning twice as far away (a slider per kind).
- Workbenches and crafting stations, campfires and other fires, and portals keep enemies from spawning further away: twice as far by default, a slider per kind (beds, smelters and the rest have their own, at vanilla).
- Portals get a column like a workbench, so a portal on a tower no longer gets spawns below it. Raids are not affected.
Level Strength
Makes the hoe's Level ground actually flatten the whole area.
- A strength slider for the hoe's Level ground: at 100% the whole circle becomes exactly flat.
- Adjustable limit on how far levelling may raise or lower the ground; optionally for the cultivator too.
- The host's settings, synced to everyone. Works with Advanced Terrain Modifiers.
Notes
- Mods that need another mod only start when that mod is installed; the rest work without it.
