You're Cold
Part of the Scavengers Survival Series for Valheim.
You're Cold makes exposure matter. The goal is not constant punishment; it is to make fire, shelter, dry clothing, daylight, and sensible travel feel valuable.
Latest update — V1.1.7
- Cold pacing has been softened so ordinary rain, night travel, and boat journeys are less punishing.
- A lit hand-held torch now provides practical travel warmth and helps hold the player in the normal Warm range.
- Body Temp HUD fixes improve the panel and status-text presentation.
- Cold damage now respects Valheim god mode and cannot kill a player while god mode is active.
What it adds
- A 0–100 body-temperature system.
- Cooling from wetness, swimming, cold weather, freezing weather, night, Mountains, and Deep North exposure.
- Warmth from fire, shelter, dry conditions, and safer environments.
- Stamina loss at severe cold and mild freezing damage only at the lowest temperature.
- An optional low-temperature breath warning.
- A compact body-temperature HUD with presentation fixes.
