Fylgja

In Norse belief, the fylgja is the spirit that follows a person. Bind yours to a runestone, show it a chore once, offer honey, and a pale copy of you walks the route and repeats the work: ore from the chest into the smelter, bars back into storage, wood into the kilns, honey from the hives, a field harvested and replanted.
Every player and the server need the mod. Requires BepInEx and Jötunn.
Getting started
- Build the Fylgja Stone with the hammer (Misc tab, workbench nearby). Cost: 20 stone, 2 surtling cores, 5 honey.
- Shift+E on the stone: the fylgja starts watching.
- Do the work: move items between chests, feed stations, harvest crops, pick up items.
- Walk back to the stone and press E. The route is bound.
- Use honey on the stone. Each honey buys 5 minutes, up to 60.
- Press E: the fylgja rises and loops the route.
Look at the stone to see the route as a faint line, with colored markers at every task, and the current step in the hover text.
What it can do

All mode: press Z while recording to toggle it. Steps then take everything or fill until full, instead of exact amounts.
Rest: if a full round moves nothing, the fylgja returns to the stone and rests without using honey. It checks its source chests every few seconds and gets up when there is work, or after 5 minutes at the latest.
Replanting: barley and flax replant from their own harvest. Carrots, turnips and onions need seeds, so let the route take them from a chest before the field.
Good to know
- Valheim only simulates areas near players. The fylgja works while someone is in the base.
- It borrows the hands of the player currently simulating it: items briefly pass through that player's inventory. Keep a free slot.
- Only stackable items are moved. Weapons and armor are ignored.
- Doors, beds, portals, crafting stations, boss altars and wards are never automated.
- Releasing the fylgja (E on the stone) drops everything it carries next to the stone.
