Path of Magic - QoL Companion Modpack

This is an optional Quality of Life companion modpack created for use with Path of Magic, a public Valheim rework built using Expand World Prefabs.

Path of Magic reimagines Valheim as a persistent, exploration-focused experience with deep mechanical changes. This modpack supports that experience by changing many Valheim systems, resulting in a version of Valheim that does no longer feels as predictable.

What is Path of Magic?

Path of Magic is a no-map, no-portals server experience that gradually guides players through the entire world—from the starting Meadows, through the Ashlands, and into the Deep North. It features:

• Public Valheim Server, open to all, no mods required
• Persistant Valheim Server, no restarting seasons, no missing out
• Respawning, deeper dungeons
• Challenging biome design with unique materials
• Tweaked melee and blocking mechanics
• A new progression system based on boss chest items, rather than boss kills
• Coin-based economy for unlocking building materials
• Dynamic Dvergr interactions, including trading, summoning, and crafting upgrades

This modpack is meant to support that design by smoothing out rough edges and offering a more comfortable long-term play experience, especially for those committed to seeing the full journey.

Why Use This Modpack?

Path of Magic is a completely vanilla server—you don’t need to install any mods to join, and the full experience is available without any mods. However, these client side mods do improve the experience. That is why we put togther this optional Quality of Life pack, designed to make your time on Valheim feel more immersive and intuitive—without altering gameplay balance.

This modpack can be used on any server. It is a minimal Quality of Life pack that includes a small set of mods focused on:

• Reduced multiplayer lag and latency, ideal for combat alongside other Viking
• Inventory and equipment usability with QuickSlots
• Immersive exploration because dungeons are better in First Person Mode

Nothing here is required, and everything is lightweight. But if you’re planning to dive deep into the world of Path of Magic, this modpack helps the experience feel just a little smoother—without changing what makes the server special.
