FreeLook Camera

A lightweight Valheim client-side mod that lets you freely look around while continuing to move in your current direction.

Perfect for checking behind you while being chased, admiring the scenery during exploration, or simply increasing camera freedom without affecting player movement.

Installation

Thunderstore (Recommended)

Install using:

  • Thunderstore Mod Manager
  • r2modman

The required dependencies will be installed automatically.

Manual Installation

  1. Install BepInExPack for Valheim.
  2. Copy FreeLookCamera.dll into:
BepInEx/plugins/FreeLookCamera/
  1. Launch the game.

Configuration

Configuration can be edited:

  • through the in-game Configuration Manager, or
  • by editing the generated configuration file inside:
BepInEx/config/

General

  • FreeLook activation key
  • Hold or Toggle activation mode

Camera

  • Horizontal sensitivity
  • Vertical sensitivity
  • Enable/Disable pitch freelook
  • Invert Y axis
  • Maximum yaw
  • Maximum pitch

  • Adjustable smooth return time

This mod does not need to be installed on a dedicated server.
