Configurable Crafting Recipes
A small Valheim mod that makes sensible uncraftable items craftable, while still letting you change the recipes yourself.
What It Does
Adds configurable crafting recipes for items that normally cannot be crafted, including Chain, Fishing Rod, Fishing Bait, Thunderstone, Barrel Rings, Surtling Core, valuables, coins, and trophies.
Why Use It
Some items feel like they should have recipes. Fishing Rod from Fine Wood plus Iron, Fishing Bait from Entrails, trophies from matching creature materials, and valuables from coins all make the game feel a little more flexible without handing everything out for free.
Default Recipes
The mod comes with recipes for:
- Trader and rare items like Chain, Fishing Rod, Fishing Bait, Thunderstone, Barrel Rings, and Surtling Core.
- Valuables and coins, so Amber, Amber Pearl, Ruby, and Silver Necklace can be crafted back and forth with Coins.
- Trophy crafting, so enough reasonable creature materials can become a trophy instead of relying only on rare head drops.
- Extra recipe slots, so you can add your own craftable item prefabs.
Configuration
After launching the game once, edit this config file:
BepInEx/config/mgdev.configurablecraftingrecipes.cfg
The config name is different from the mod name, so look specifically for mgdev.configurablecraftingrecipes.cfg.
The config is organized into:
1 - Custom Recipes2 - Valuables Recipes3 - Trophy Recipes4 - Extra Recipes
Most recipes let you control whether they are enabled, how many items they create, where they are crafted, and what materials they require.
Use Station = None for recipes that should appear in the normal inventory crafting tab.
