MatSilawMistBender
Live configurable 6–50m mist-clearing radius for your equipped wisplight. Standalone client mod.MatSilaw MistBender — Configurable Wisplight Radius
Give your wisplight a wider reach and explore the Mistlands with more room to see. MatSilaw MistBender lets you choose a mist-clearing radius from 6 to 50 metres for your equipped wisplight.
Features
- Configurable 6–50 metre radius; default 6 metres.
- Enable or disable the feature; disabling restores the captured original range.
- Live changes through a compatible in-game configuration manager.
- Standalone client-side mod. GodTouch and DeezMistyBalls are not required; no server installation is required.
This changes your equipped wisplight's mist-clearing area. It does not permanently remove world mist or change wisp torches.
Requirements
Valheim and BepInExPack Valheim. A configuration manager is optional.
Installation with r2modman
Install BepInExPack Valheim in your profile. For this downloaded ZIP, use Settings → Profile → Import local mod and select the ZIP. After publication on Thunderstore, you can install directly from its listing through r2modman.
Start the game using Start modded once to generate the configuration, then close the game and open r2modman's Config editor. Find matsilaw.MistBender.cfg, open 1 - General, and adjust End Range. Enabled defaults to true.
Changes made in r2modman's Config editor apply on the next launch. A compatible in-game configuration manager can apply changes while playing. Equip your wisplight to use the selected range.
Manual installation
With BepInEx installed, copy MatSilawMistBender.dll into your Valheim/BepInEx/plugins folder. Launch once to generate BepInEx/config/matsilaw.MistBender.cfg.
Compatibility and performance
If using MatSilawGodTouch, leave its custom mist-clearing radius option off so MistBender controls the range. Other wisplight radius mods may conflict. Larger radii can reveal more scenery and increase rendering cost.
Credits
Inspired by the configurable radius concept in Azumatt's DeezMistyBalls. This is an independent implementation; the original mod's code and DLL are not included.
