Olympian Arsenal

Weapons, a bow, a tool, a shield and armor inspired by God of War, rebuilt for Valheim's look: original low-poly models, textures and effects. Every item grows through four upgrade levels, each with its own abilities (and, for most, its own look).

1.1.0: three new items, the Fimbulwinter Rage armor with its winter cloak and Spartan Rage, the Draupnir Spear and the Talon Bow. Everyone in a game needs 1.1.0 (see Multiplayer and saves). It also brings the fixes, the Armor stand display poses and the "shield up, weapon away" mode of the Guardian Shield (see the changelog). Change the mod's keys in the Esc menu (Olympian Keys). Fan-made and not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment or Santa Monica Studio.

What is in it:

  • Five weapons: Blade of Olympus, Blades of Chaos, Leviathan Axe, Mjolnir, Draupnir Spear
  • One bow: Talon Bow
  • One tool: Huldra Pick
  • One shield: Guardian Shield
  • Two armor sets: Valkyrie armor (breastplate, legguards, helm) and Fimbulwinter Rage armor (cuirass, greaves, helm, plus an optional cloak)

Installation

  1. Install Olympian Arsenal with a mod manager (Thunderstore Mod Manager, r2modman). It also installs BepInEx and Jotunn for you.
  2. For the in-game settings window (F1), also install a Configuration Manager mod such as shudnal-ConfigurationManager. Without one, edit BepInEx/config/com.olympianarsenal.valheim.cfg with the game closed (the file appears the first time the game starts with the mod). The keys don't need it: they are in the Esc menu, under Olympian Keys.
  3. If you installed an earlier hand-made zip of this mod, uninstall it first.
  4. On a dedicated server, install the whole package there too (the models and textures are part of it).

Multiplayer and saves

  • Everyone who joins, and the host or server, needs the mod on the same version, 1.1.x. A player on another version number (1.0.x or 0.7.x, for example) is refused when joining: the new items make 1.1.0 a different version from 1.0.x.
  • "Upgrade pathing" (F1) is each player's own setting. It decides what you pay to craft and upgrade, so two players in one game can pay different costs. Items work the same for everyone.
  • Never load a character, chest or world that holds these items while the mod is removed, disabled or too old to have the item. Valheim deletes items it does not know, and they stay gone once the game saves. Back up your characters and worlds first, and empty the items out of your world and character before you uninstall.

Controls (read this once)

To change a key: press Esc, click Olympian Keys, click Change next to the key, then press the new key or mouse button. It works at once (no restart) and is saved. Esc (or B on a gamepad) cancels a change; Default puts a key back. Under each key the window says when the same button also does something else: one of Valheim's controls (as you have them set), another Olympian key, or an EpicLoot ability hotkey.

Special 1 starts on middle click, which is also Valheim's default Secondary attack key. On the game's default keys the two clash: your level 2 special does nothing and the game says so on screen. Fix it once: Esc > Olympian Keys > Change next to Special 1, then press a free button, for example the Forward side button of the mouse or a letter key. Or move Secondary attack in Valheim's own settings and leave Special 1 on middle click.

The keys:

  • Special 1: middle click. The drawn weapon's level 2 special (Judgment, Plume of Prometheus, Hel's Touch, Gale, Splitting Throw, Talon Volley). With the Draupnir Spear on the game's default keys, middle click is also its throw (the Secondary attack), and with the Talon Bow it is the Marking shot (also the Secondary attack), so give Special 1 another button there (see above).
  • Special 2: the Back side button of the mouse (Mouse4). The level 4 special (Lightning dash, Chain grab, Glacial Rake, Eye of the Storm, Ninth Night, Spirit Hawk). No side button? Pick another key.
  • Spartan Rage: B. Starts (and, pressed again, ends) Spartan Rage with the Rage armor's full set worn. There is also an option to start Spartan Rage by itself when the bar is full, for gamepad players (off by default).
  • Throw (Mjolnir or the Draupnir Spear) / pull: G. Recall: H (calls back a thrown Leviathan Axe or Mjolnir, and sets off the Draupnir Spear's planted spears, also with the spear put away). Leviathan throw: off by default (the axe is thrown with the Secondary attack); give it a key to throw with that key too, or Clear it again.
  • With Mjolnir or the Draupnir Spear drawn, G only throws it and doesn't also open Valheim's radial menu. The switch for that is in the same window.
  • A special key that is also your Attack, Secondary attack or Block key, or another key of this mod, does nothing and says so on screen.
  • Keyboard keys and mouse buttons only: there are no gamepad bindings.
  • EpicLoot's ability hotkeys default to G, H and J, the same as Mjolnir's throw and the recall key. The game tells you once on screen when you enter a world, and the Olympian Keys window shows it under the key; change one of them.
  • The same keys are also under F1 > Controls (with a Configuration Manager mod) and in the config file under [Controls] (edit it with the game closed).

Weapons

As in vanilla, each upgrade needs a crafting station one level higher than the last. Each level's materials can be changed in F1 (see Configuration).

Blade of Olympus (two-handed sword)

  • Greatsword moveset, slash + lightning damage, glows blue-white.
  • Normal hits have a chance to unleash chain lightning onto nearby enemies. The secondary attack, Divine Reckoning, is an overhead slam with a lightning strike, and it always sets off chain lightning; it hits creatures only, never buildings, carts or ships.
  • Crafted at the Black Forge: Black Metal, Refined Eitr, Thunder Stones and Eikthyr's trophy. Upgrades to level 4: level 2 with Mistlands materials and coins, level 3 with Ashlands flametal, level 4 with Fader's Kindled ribs and an Iolite.
  • Level abilities: chain lightning forks to one more enemy (level 2), Storm strike (level 3, Divine Reckoning also calls a sky bolt onto the strongest enemy it hits), Wrath of Olympus (level 4, a wider Divine Reckoning that staggers every enemy it hits; bosses only if you turn that on in F1).
  • Specials: Judgment (level 2, Special 1, held: after a wind-up of about a second, sky bolts strike up to 8 enemies within 8 m, 95 lightning each at level 2 before your Swords skill; 40 stamina, 30 s cooldown; let go early and nothing is spent) and Lightning dash (level 4, Special 2: a quick shove, then you dash 7 m along your view straight through your enemies, striking each once with chain lightning and flinging it aside; 30 stamina, 8 s cooldown; ground starts only, and it stops short of walls, drops, water, ships and carts).

Blades of Chaos (dual blades on chains)

  • Fire blades on chains with long reach, burning hits and a 360° spin. Their fire keeps you warm (no cold or freezing) and scares fire-fearing creatures.
  • Crafted at the Forge (level 2) with Iron, Chain, Surtling cores and Leather scraps (Swamp). Level 3 with Silver and Obsidian (Mountains), level 4 with Black metal (Plains).
  • Level abilities: Hotter flames (level 2), Ember burst (level 3, every few hits on one enemy set off a small fire explosion), Cyclone of Chaos (level 4, the spin flings the blades out on their chains).
  • Specials: Plume of Prometheus (level 2, Special 1, a ring of fire around you) and Chain grab (level 4, Special 2, a blade flies out on its chain: small enemies are yanked to you, big ones pull you to them).

Leviathan Axe (one-handed axe)

  • A frost axe you can throw (Secondary attack) and call back (H). Hits build up ice, and enough of it freezes an enemy.
  • Crafted at the Forge (level 3) with Silver, Iron, Freeze glands and Dragon tears (Mountains). Level 3 with Black metal (Plains), level 4 with Refined eitr (Mistlands).
  • Level abilities: Frozen return (level 2), Frost burst on catch (level 3), Instant freeze (level 4, a thrown axe freezes what it hits, bosses excepted).
  • Specials: Hel's Touch (level 2, Special 1, a frost ring around you) and Glacial Rake (level 4, Special 2, a lane of ice crystals ahead of you).

Mjolnir (one-handed hammer)

  • A thunder hammer that never breaks. G throws it, H calls it back, and from level 3 G pulls you through the air to it. The secondary attack is a ground-slam Shockwave. It does not mine, and it never harms what you built.
  • Crafted at the Forge (level 4) with Black metal, Iron, Thunder stones and Linen thread (Plains). Level 3 with Refined eitr (Mistlands), level 4 with the Queen's drop (end of the Mistlands).
  • Level abilities: Stronger shockwave (level 2), Pull to hammer (level 3), Bigger shockwave (level 4).
  • Specials: Gale (level 2, Special 1, a wind blast that shoves enemies away) and Eye of the Storm (level 4, Special 2, the hammer stands as a 4 s storm, then claps).

Draupnir Spear (one-handed spear)

  • A spear forged around the ring that multiplies. It pokes like a spear, works with a shield (the Guardian Shield too) and trains the Spears skill. Pierce damage only: 95 at level 1, 6 more per level (113 at level 4). Block 38, parry bonus 2x. Durability 200, 50 more per level; a poke or a throw wears it by 1, a blast wears nothing.
  • Throw: the Secondary attack or G (the same throw key as Mjolnir's) throws a copy of the spear; the spear stays in your hand. The copy flies dead straight (50 m/s, 50 m before it starts to drop), sticks in what it hits, snaps in half and glows. 18 stamina; the copy's hit does 1.5 times a poke. A copy only hurts creatures.
  • Detonate: H (Recall) sets off every planted spear, even with the spear put away (10 stamina, any number of spears). The blast is force: 3.5 m wide, 1.2 times a poke (two thirds blunt, one third pierce), pushes and staggers, and needs a clear line to the creature. It never hurts you, your tamed animals or anything that was built. A planted spear fades after 60 s, or when you take up another weapon.
  • Below level 4 one spear can be planted at a time: a new throw makes the old one fade.
  • Crafted at the Forge (level 4) in the Plains: 20 Black metal, 8 Fine wood, 6 Linen thread, 8 Needle. Upgrades need Forge 5, 6 and 7. With CrossBiome pathing (the default): level 2 (Plains) 8 Black metal, 4 Linen thread, 4 Needle; level 3 (Mistlands) 10 Carapace, 6 Yggdrasil wood, 8 Black metal; level 4 (end of the Mistlands) 1 Queen's drop (Majestic carapace), 10 Carapace, 4 Mandible, 6 Eitr. With Classic pathing: plain Plains materials, level 2 asks 7 Black metal, 2 Linen thread, 3 Needle, level 3 twice as much (14, 4, 6) and level 4 four times as much (28, 8, 12).
  • Level abilities: Wider blast (level 2, 4.5 m instead of 3.5 m), Deep bite (level 3, a blast set off inside a creature that a spear is stuck in hits it 1.5 times as hard and staggers it, bosses excepted), Several spears (level 4, up to 5 spears planted at once, all set off with one press).
  • Specials: Splitting Throw (level 2, Special 1: one throw becomes three spears in a flat fan, 8 degrees apart; the middle one is a normal throw, the side ones break on what they meet until level 4, when all three stay planted; 25 stamina, 12 s cooldown) and Ninth Night (level 4, Special 2: aim at a spot up to 30 m away; one second later 8 spears rain down in a 3 m ring around it from 12 m up, each hitting a creature it lands in for 0.75 times a poke, then planted and set off with the next detonation; 40 stamina, 30 s cooldown; nothing is spent if there is nothing to aim at).
  • Special 1 on the default keys: middle click is also this spear's throw, so Special 1 (Splitting Throw) does nothing until you give it another key (see Controls).
  • Put away, the spear is not carried on your back: only a gold band shows on your right wrist (F1 "Draupnir Spear - Look / Show wrist band"). Drawing it, the spear forms from the ring in your hand. Pale gold rings and a lattice on the head grow with each level.

Talon Bow (bow)

  • A hunter's bow of dark wood and bronze with two raven heads, runes that wake as it grows. It is a real bow: it shoots any arrow you carry, each arrow keeps its own effect, and it never breaks. It is quiet like the Huntsman bow (F1 can turn that off). Its arrows spare what players have built.
  • Pierce damage 58 at level 1, 8 more per level (82 at level 4), on top of the arrow's own. A full pull takes 2.5 s at level 1 and costs 10 stamina a second (the game halves it at full pull). Arrows fly at 60 m/s at full pull.
  • At full pull the view eases in a little (F1 "Zoom at full pull", your own view; "Zoom amount" 0.85).
  • Crafted at the Forge (level 3) in the Plains: 10 Fine wood, 15 Black metal, 10 Linen thread, 5 Needle. Upgrades need Forge 4, 5 and 6. With CrossBiome pathing (the default): level 2 (Plains) 6 Black metal, 4 Linen thread, 3 Needle; level 3 (Mistlands) 10 Yggdrasil wood, 6 Eitr, 6 Black metal; level 4 (end of the Mistlands) 1 Queen's drop (Majestic carapace), 8 Eitr, 6 Yggdrasil wood, 4 Linen thread. With Classic pathing: plain Plains materials, level 2 asks 3 Fine wood, 5 Black metal, 3 Linen thread, 2 Needle, level 3 twice as much (6, 10, 6, 4) and level 4 four times as much (12, 20, 12, 8).
  • Level abilities: Swift draw (level 2, a full pull takes 20% less time), Rune mark (level 3, see the Marking shot below) and Steady aim (level 4, a full pull takes 35% less time in all, and holding at full pull costs no stamina).
  • Marking shot (level 3, the Secondary attack with the bow drawn; middle click on the game's default keys): a quick conjured blue arrow, no pull and no arrow needed, that hits for 45% of the bow's pierce and marks the creature it hits for 12 s. Every player's hits on a marked creature do 15% more. A bold red X floats above a marked creature for every player (a level 4 bow's mark adds a red ring round it); it pops when the mark lands, pulses while it lasts and blinks in its last 2 s, and you see "Marked" when your shot lands. 10 stamina, 4 s cooldown; refused while you are pulling.
  • Specials (they need and use no arrow, and are refused while you are pulling): Talon Volley (level 2, Special 1: 5 conjured blue arrows in a fan 20 degrees wide, each hitting for the bow's pierce; 25 stamina, 12 s cooldown) and Spirit Hawk (level 4, Special 2: a hawk of light flies out, picks a creature within 40 m (a marked one first) and strikes up to 3 times, each for twice the bow's pierce with a hard stagger; one hawk at a time; 35 stamina, 25 s cooldown). Specials hit creatures only, never buildings, players or tamed animals.
  • Special 1 on the default keys: middle click is also Valheim's Secondary attack, which fires the Marking shot with this bow, so Talon Volley needs another Special 1 button: see Controls.

Tool

Huldra Pick (two-handed pickaxe)

  • A mining tool that grows with you. It mines stone, copper, tin and muddy scrap piles from level 1, adds silver and obsidian at level 3, and the Mistlands' black marble and soft tissue and the Ashlands' flametal ore at level 4, so you never need another pickaxe.
  • Crafted and upgraded at the Workbench: level 1 with Meadows materials and Eikthyr's Hard antler, level 2 with Bronze (Black Forest), level 3 with Iron and a Wishbone (Swamp), level 4 with Black metal (Plains).
  • Pickaxe and pierce damage 18 to 60, durability 150 to 360, stamina 6 to 12 per swing, weight 2. Digs the ground like any pickaxe, wears down and is repaired at the Workbench. No specials.
  • Silver sense from level 3: with the pick in your hands it pings like a Wishbone when a silver vein is buried nearby (within 50 m), and its runes flash with each ping.

Shield

Guardian Shield (left hand)

  • A round parry shield of dark steel and bronze that grows with you. It works with the one-handed Leviathan Axe and Mjolnir (two-handed weapons put it away, like any shield).
  • It folds. It is worn on the back of your forearm as a small bar, with no grip or straps, snaps open the moment you raise it to block and folds again when you lower it. When you put your weapons away it stays folded on your forearm (F1 "Stay on forearm when put away"; off = it hangs folded on your back). Every player sees it. F1 "Folding shield" off shows the plain round shield instead (it blocks the same).
  • Shield up, weapon away: with a one-handed weapon drawn, R puts away only the weapon, so you block and parry with the shield and fight with your fists; R again draws the weapon. If you die with the weapon put away like this, it counts as held in your hand, so your world's death setting treats it like your other equipped gear (F1 "Keep shield up when putting weapon away", on by default; off = R puts both away, as in the base game).
  • Sits wrong on your sleeve? Three settings fit it to your arm, your own view, live: Arm gap (default -0.008 m), Arm gap extra with chest armour (default +0.016 m) and Elbow tilt (default 6 degrees). Raise them if it sinks into your arm or sleeve.
  • Crafted and upgraded at the Workbench: level 1 with Meadows materials (Wood, Flint, Leather scraps, Resin), level 2 with Iron (Swamp), level 3 with Black metal (Plains), level 4 with Flametal (Ashlands).
  • Block 12 to 88, parry bonus 2x (2.5x at level 4), weight 4, movement -5%. Weaker than a big round shield for holding a block, made for parrying.
  • Level abilities: Folded stride (level 2, no slowdown while it is folded) and Shield bash (level 3, a clean parry of a melee hit strikes back with blunt damage and a hard push).
  • From old grimy teal-grey steel at level 1 to near-black polished steel with glowing gold runes at level 4.

Armor

Valkyrie armor (breastplate, legguards, helm)

  • Light armor that grows with you: crafted at the Forge (level 2) in the Mountains, each upgrade with the next biome's materials (Plains, Mistlands, Ashlands). Armor 20 to 38 per piece, weight 5, 5 and 1. Green bronze at level 1, polished to gold by level 4. The breastplate keeps the cold away. The helm hides your hair, not your beard.
  • It moves with you: the breastplate bends smoothly with your body, and the belt, tabards, boots and bracers follow your hips, legs and arms.
  • Plate style: F1 "Valkyrie Armor / Plate style" picks how the metal plates move: Smooth (1.0) (the default: they bend with your body), Rigid (solid plates like the game's own armor; the sides show leather when you move) or Rigid with leather rows (the same, with the breastplate's two feather rows in leather). Your own view, live.
  • Metal shine: F1 "Valkyrie Armor / Armor shine" (default 0.7; 0 = matte, 2 = mirror-like), your own view, live.
  • Set bonus Valkyrie's Blessing with all three pieces worn; it grows with your lowest piece: less fall damage (25% at level 1, 90% at level 4), stronger parries (+10% to +40%, plus stamina back on a clean parry from level 2), and faster stamina regeneration (+10% to +20%).

Fimbulwinter Rage armor (cuirass, greaves, helm) and cloak

  • Heavy armor with a dark-leather and gunmetal look and gold knotwork. Its runes burn brighter as your Rage bar fills (other players see it too). Crafted at the Forge (level 3) in the Plains. Each upgrade asks for the next biome's materials.
  • Armor 28 per piece at level 1, 6 more per upgrade (46 at level 4; the full set 84 up to 138). Cuirass and greaves weigh 8 and slow you by 3%; the helm weighs 2. Durability 1000, 200 more per level. The helm hides your hair, not your beard. F1 can also give the cuirass frost resistance (off by default; the cloak gives it).
  • Crafting (in the Plains):
    • Fimbulwinter Cuirass: 20 Black metal, 15 Linen thread, 4 Lox pelt, 6 Needle
    • Fimbulwinter Greaves: 16 Black metal, 12 Linen thread, 3 Lox pelt, 4 Needle
    • Fimbulwinter Helm: 12 Black metal, 8 Linen thread, 2 Lox pelt, 3 Needle
    • Fimbulwinter Cloak: 6 Lox pelt, 10 Linen thread, 4 Wolf pelt, 2 Freeze gland
  • Upgrades with CrossBiome pathing (the default; they need Forge 4, 5 and 6):
    • Level 2 (Mistlands): cuirass and greaves 12 Carapace, 3 Scale hide, 2 Mandible; helm 10 Carapace, 2 Scale hide, 1 Mandible; cloak 5 Scale hide, 3 Eitr
    • Level 3 (Ashlands): cuirass and greaves 12 Flametal, 3 Asksvin hide, 2 Morgen sinew; helm 10 Flametal, 2 Asksvin hide, 1 Morgen sinew; cloak 5 Asksvin hide, 1 Morgen sinew
    • Level 4 (Deep North): cuirass and greaves 8 Moose hide, 6 Leather straps, 2 Frostcore; helm 6 Moose hide, 4 Leather straps, 1 Frostcore; cloak 5 Moose hide, 2 Moose sinew
  • Upgrades with Classic pathing: plain Plains materials. Level 2 asks the amount below, level 3 twice as much, level 4 four times as much. Cuirass 5 Black metal, 4 Linen thread, 1 Lox pelt, 2 Needle. Greaves 4, 3, 1, 1 (the same four materials). Helm 3, 2, 1, 1. Cloak 2 Lox pelt, 3 Linen thread, 1 Wolf pelt. With Classic each set piece gains only +2 armor per level and Spartan Rage stays at its level 1 numbers; the cloak gains +1 armor per level.
  • Spartan Rage (the set bonus, all three pieces worn; the set's level is your lowest piece's level; F1 can turn it off):
    • Filling the bar (it holds 100, keeps between fights and is saved with your character): each hit you land on a creature gives 1 point, more for a hit that takes a big share of its health, at most 3 per hit and 5 a second. A creature's hit on you gives points too (1 per 2.5% of your max health lost, up to 10 per hit), and a clean parry gives 4. Players, tamed animals, trees, rocks and buildings never count. Dying empties the bar.
    • Starting it: press B with at least half a bar. The bar then burns down: a full bar lasts 10 s at set level 1 (12 s at level 2, 14 s at level 3, 16 s at level 4), half a bar half as long. Press B again to end it early and keep what is left. While it burns the bar does not fill.
    • While it burns, at set level 1 / 2 / 3 / 4: damage dealt +15% / +20% / +25% / +30%; damage taken -10% / -15% / -20% / -25% (before blocking and armor); stagger build-up half at level 1, a quarter at level 2, none from level 3.
    • Heal on hit (level 2 and up): each hit on a creature gives back 1% of your max health at level 2, 1.5% at level 3 and 2% at level 4 (at most 4 heals a second).
    • Roar (level 3 and up): starting Spartan Rage from a full bar staggers the creatures around you (6 m at level 3, 8 m at level 4). No damage; bosses, players and tamed animals are never touched.
    • A slim Rage bar shows just above the game's adrenaline bar (F1 "Show the Rage bar", its height, and "Rune glow strength": all your own view).
    • Every number above is in F1 under "Rage Armor - Spartan Rage" and follows the server's settings in multiplayer.
  • Fimbulwinter Cloak (cape slot, not part of the set, wear it with any armor): armor 1 at level 1, 3 more per upgrade (10 at level 4), weight 4, frost resistant, and Winter stride: running and jumping cost 6% less stamina. It hangs as real cloth that swings as you move (F1 "Cloak cloth", needs a restart; off = it moves with your back).
  • One look at every level: only the runes' glow follows the Rage bar. Fitted to the male character model.

Configuration

  • Every number and chance can be changed in F1 or in BepInEx/config/com.olympianarsenal.valheim.cfg. Settings marked Advanced (model fitting and debugging) only show when your Configuration Manager's advanced-settings option is on.
  • F1 "Upgrades / Upgrade pathing" (needs a restart): CrossBiome or Classic.
    • CrossBiome (the default): each item is crafted with its home biome's materials, and its upgrades ask for later biomes' materials. The five weapons and the Talon Bow also reach level 2 with their home biome's materials (the Rage armor's upgrades start in the Mistlands); level 3 needs the next biome's and level 4 one step more (the biome after that, or the boss at the end of that biome).
    • Classic: upgrades ask for a fixed amount of plain materials per level (level 3 asks twice as much as level 2, level 4 four times as much), mostly more of the crafting materials, but the Huldra Pick's ask for Bronze and Iron (with Leather scraps) and the Guardian Shield's for Iron (with Wood and Leather scraps), and the Draupnir Spear, the Talon Bow and the Rage armor's ask for Black metal, Linen thread, Needle (and Lox pelt, Wolf pelt, Fine wood), as listed under each item. The Valkyrie armor then gains only +2 armor per level and its set bonus stays at level 1; the Guardian Shield gains only +6 block per level, its parry stays 2x and its level abilities are off; the Huldra Pick's level 3 upgrade takes no Wishbone and its Silver sense is off. Classic also brings back two older crafting costs: the Leviathan Axe takes 20 Silver (30 in CrossBiome) and the Blade of Olympus also takes 200 coins.
    • Each item also has a "- Costs" section to change its CrossBiome materials (needs a restart; not used with Classic).
  • F1 "Looks / Upgrade looks" (on by default) gives each level its own look; every weapon, the pick, the shield and the Valkyrie armor also have an icon per level. The Rage armor keeps one look and one icon at every level.
  • F1 "Valkyrie Armor / Plate style": Smooth (1.0) (the default), Rigid or Rigid with leather rows, how the armor's metal plates move. Your own view, changes live.
  • F1 "Armor stand display / Display poses" (on by default): on the game's buildable Armor stand the Leviathan Axe is chopped into the stand's front foot, the Blade of Olympus is driven into its right foot and the Huldra Pick into its front foot, Mjolnir rests its head on the right foot with the handle leaning on the post, the Draupnir Spear stands in its right foot and the Talon Bow rests on its left foot beside the post, and the Guardian Shield hangs open on the stand's back. The Blades of Chaos keep their X on the back. Off = the game's own look (put away on the back or hip). Your own view, changes live; Advanced entries there move or turn each item.
  • In multiplayer, gameplay values read during play (unlock levels, radii, and the damage of the specials and level abilities) follow the server's settings. Settings marked "restart required" (a weapon's own damage among them) are applied when the game starts and are your own. Keys and looks are always your own.

Console (cheats on: devcommands)

  • Spawn an item: spawn OLY_BladeOfOlympus, OLY_BladesOfChaos, OLY_LeviathanAxe, OLY_Mjolnir, OLY_HuldraPick, OLY_GuardianShield, OLY_ValkyrieChest, OLY_ValkyrieLegs, OLY_ValkyrieHelmet, OLY_Draupnir, OLY_TalonBow, OLY_RageChest, OLY_RageLegs, OLY_RageHelmet, OLY_RageCloak. For a level 3 pick in your inventory: spawn OLY_HuldraPick 1 3 p (the second number is the level).
  • oly_tune [olympus|leviathan|mjolnir|huldra|shield|draupnir|drauband|talon|chaosR|chaosL] pos x y z | rot x y z | scale s | show: fit a model in the hand.
  • oly_tune shield fold <0..1|auto>: hold your Guardian Shield open (0), half open (0.5) or folded (1) while you fit it; auto follows blocking again.
  • oly_fx pickping [near|med|far] and oly_fx guardparry: preview the Huldra Pick's ping and the Guardian Shield's parry flash.
  • oly_rage [fill [n] | empty | start | stop | roar]: test Spartan Rage (shows the bar, fills or empties it, starts or stops it, lets out the roar).
  • oly_dump: write debug information to BepInEx/olympus-dumps/.

Known issues

  • Tested on Valheim 1.0.16, and it starts cleanly on 1.0.17. Dedicated servers have not been tested yet.
  • Special 1 and middle click: see Controls above. This is the first thing to check if a level 2 special does nothing.
  • The Valkyrie armor and the Rage armor are fitted to the male character model. It may gap or clip on the female one (not tested).
  • No gamepad bindings for the special, throw, recall and Spartan Rage keys (the Rage armor has an option to start Spartan Rage by itself when the bar is full).
  • The Draupnir Spear is carried put away as a gold wrist band only (that is by design).
  • The game's Armor stand has no hands, so it shows vanilla weapons put away on its back or hip. The mod's own items get display poses there instead (see Configuration), but they still use the stand's two back places: one weapon or tool, plus one shield or the Blades of Chaos (which take the shield place, like the vanilla Berserkir axes, so one stand can't show them and a shield at the same time).
  • If something breaks, please report it with your BepInEx/LogOutput.log (it names the mod version and what went wrong).
