CtrlClickSort
Ctrl+click an item in your inventory to send the whole stack to the nearest chest that already holds that item. Fills existing stacks first, respects wards, private chests and chests in use. Client-side.CtrlClickSort
Ctrl+click an item in your inventory to send the whole stack to the nearest chest that already holds that item. You don't have to open the chest.
How it works
Open your inventory without a chest open and Ctrl+left-click an item:
- The stack goes to the nearest chest within range (15 m by default) that already contains the same item.
- Existing stacks in that chest are filled first, then a free slot is used.
- If the chest runs out of room, the rest goes to the next nearest matching chest. Whatever doesn't fit anywhere stays in your inventory.
- A short message shows what went where, e.g.
Wood x50 → Wood chest (12 m).
When nothing can be stored:
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| No chest within range | Vanilla behaviour: the item is dropped on the ground |
| Chests nearby, but none holds this item | Nothing is moved, a message is shown |
| A chest is open | Vanilla behaviour, unchanged |
Safety
- Chests another player has open are skipped.
- Chests you can't open are ignored: other players' private chests, and chests under a ward you don't have access to.
- Equipped items and quest items are never moved.
- Only player-built chests count. Tombstones, carts, ships and dungeon chests are ignored.
- Before writing to a chest, the mod takes ownership of it, the same way vanilla does when you open one. Your changes are saved and synced to other players.
