Changelog
0.2.1 — 2026-09-13
- Upgrading a pack at the bench keeps its contents. Valheim 1.0 replaces an upgraded item with a new one; the pack's contents now follow it. No config change; 0.2.0 clients and servers stay compatible, but the fix acts on the client that crafts — update to benefit.
0.2.0 — 2026-09-12
- A worn pack slows you down:
[Packs] Speed malus (default 10 %, the same for every pack, admin-synced, hot). The shoulder slot is now a choice between a cape and a pack.
- Minor version bump: server and players update together (TheReef modpack).
0.1.1 — 2026-09-11
- Rigged packs (Rugged Backpack and the others built on skinned meshes) now sit on the wearer's back: their bones are re-bound to the player skeleton when the shoulder slot is equipped, as AdventureBackpacks did. Client visual only; saves and network unchanged (0.1.0 clients and servers stay compatible).
- Weight: the 30 % applies to the heavy stuff only — contents whose unit weight is at least the new
Weight threshold (2 by default: wood, stone, flint, ores, bars); food, resin, feathers and the like keep their real weight. Threshold 0 = the 0.1.0 behaviour.
- At most 3 packs per player (
Max packs carried, worn one included): picking up, taking from a chest and crafting a fourth are refused with a message; nothing is destroyed, a pack already carried stays until put down. 0 = no limit.
0.1.0 — 2026-09-11
- First build. Six biome packs (same items, recipes, grids and save format as AdventureBackpacks 1.9.13, so existing packs keep their contents), open with I in the inventory, contents at 30 % weight, portal rule, carry bonus, crafting from the worn pack. Valheim 1.0.7, Jötunn 2.30.0.
- Proven on the bench 2026-09-10 (restart 70): existing packs kept their contents, open/close/relog, craft from the pack, portals, weight, tombstone; 0 exceptions server and client.
