PingTweaks improves the appearance and behavior of pings.
- Pings are not broadcast to other players without a modifier key
- Pings may be created as persistent with a modifier key (persistent broadcast allowed)
- A player may cancel their ping by pinging it again (not networked)
- Map marker pings show the marker text, if any
- Pings are sent and map markers are created with reasonably accurate elevation values
- Pings show distance in meters
- Transient ping duration is adjustable
- In-world ping text color is adjustable
- Pings from other players may be pinned by double-clicking on them (persistence optional)
PingTweaks is client-side but works better when all clients have it.
