Pieces moved with Valheim Plus Advanced Editing Mode keep their builder, so V+ auto stack, auto fuel and auto deposit keep using moved chests. Adds fixcreator to repair already-moved containers.Edit Keeps Owner
Fixes a side effect of Valheim Plus Advanced Editing Mode (AEM).
The problem
AEM doesn't move a piece. It creates a new copy at the new position and deletes the original. The copy has no builder, so to the game it looks like a world-generated piece instead of something a player built.
V+'s own chest features (Auto Stack / Stack All to nearby chests, smelter and kiln auto fuel and auto deposit, crafting from chests) only use containers placed by a player. Any chest, wardrobe or drawer moved with AEM quietly drops out of all of them.
The fix
- When AEM creates its copy, this mod copies the original's builder data onto it: player ID, platform account index and builder name. A moved piece keeps the same owner it had before.
- If the original had no builder (for example, it was already moved before you installed this), the copy is assigned to you.
Repairing containers you already moved
Stand near them and run:
devcommands
fixcreator 15
Every container within the radius (default 10, max 50) that has no builder gets assigned to you. Only pieces on a build tool's list are touched. Dungeon chests and other world-generated containers are left alone.
Install
- Client only. Install it for anyone who moves pieces with AEM. Servers don't need it.
- Players without it can still join (not enforced).
Limits
- AEM still drops a container's contents when moving it, which is normal V+ behavior. Empty containers first.
- Only builder data is carried over. Sign text, item stand items and similar data are still lost when moving with AEM.
- Tested with Valheim Plus 0.10.3.0 (Grantapher). If V+ changes AEM, the mod logs a warning on startup instead of failing silently.
