Add fuel and ore directly from nearby chests to smelters, blast furnaces, charcoal kilns and fireplaces. Cooking-station fuel is also supported.
Controls
- E: add one item.
- Shift + E: fill the available capacity.
- Left Alt + E: use the normal game interaction without chest pulling.
These controls use the default interaction key. Materials in the player inventory are used first, followed by nearby chests.
Features
- Configurable range: 1–100 metres, default 32.
- Fine wood and core wood are excluded by default.
- Uses accessible player-built chests; skips graves, occupied chests and containers excluded by SeneaL UI.
- Works independently of SeneaL UI and leaves crafting and building unchanged.
- Refills on interaction, not in the background.
Installation and settings
Requires BepInExPack for Valheim. Install on every player, the host and any dedicated server. Do not enable Craft From Containers alongside this mod.
Range, excluded materials and controls can be changed in BepInEx/config/com.valheim.fuelfromchests.cfg. Settings are local to each installation.
Notes
In multiplayer, use E or Shift + E. Avoid Alt bypass or hotbar item use while another player is refilling the same station: items may be lost during a simultaneous handoff.
Version 0.1.0 passes automated checks; in-game and multiplayer testing is still pending. Other station or container mods may need compatibility support.
