Rambo's Valheim Mod Guide

Rambo's Valheim Mod Guide gives you an in-game overview of the BepInEx mods currently loaded in your Valheim installation.

Instead of trying to remember what every mod does or which keys each mod uses, open the guide in-game and see it all in one place.

What this mod does

📋 MODS tab

Automatically scans the BepInEx plugins loaded by Valheim and lists the gameplay and quality-of-life mods it detects.

For each detected mod, the guide can show:

• Mod name
• What the mod does
• Whether it has configurable keybinds
• The keybinds detected from its BepInEx configuration

Framework and dependency plugins are automatically hidden so the list stays focused on mods you actually use.

⌨️ KEYBINDS tab

Shows configurable keyboard shortcuts discovered from your installed BepInEx mods.

This is useful for finding out:

• Which key activates a mod
• Which mods have configurable shortcuts
• Whether two mods are using the same key

Some mods use hard-coded keys rather than BepInEx KeyboardShortcut settings. Those keys cannot always be discovered automatically.

⚠️ CONFLICTS tab

Checks the detected configurable keybinds for shared keys.

If two or more mods use the same configurable key, the guide will show them together.

A shared key is not automatically a problem. Two mods can safely use the same key when their actions are contextual. The tab is there to help you spot possible conflicts.

🔄 Rescan

Use Rescan after loading is complete or after your BepInEx plugins have changed.

This lets the guide scan the currently loaded plugins again.

How to use it

1. Start Valheim normally through your BepInEx/Thunderstore profile.
2. Wait for Valheim and your mods to finish loading.
3. Press F10.
4. The Rambo's Valheim Mod Guide window will open.
5. Use the tabs:
   • MODS — see your detected gameplay/QOL mods
   • KEYBINDS — see detected configurable shortcuts
   • CONFLICTS — see shared configurable keys
6. Press F10 again to close the guide.
7. Use Rescan if you installed/changed mods and want to scan again.

Important

The mod is designed to scan BepInEx plugins that are loaded by the game.

It does not magically know about every mod file sitting in your plugins folder. A mod generally needs to be loaded successfully by BepInEx before it can be detected.

Also, some mods use hard-coded keyboard shortcuts, so those may not appear in the KEYBINDS tab.

BepInEx is automatically installed as a dependency when using a compatible Thunderstore mod manager.

Troubleshooting

The guide is empty

Make sure Valheim has completely finished loading your mods, then press Rescan.

A mod isn't listed

Check that the mod actually loaded successfully in BepInEx. Framework/dependency plugins are intentionally hidden from the main MODS list.

A mod's keybind isn't shown

The mod may use a hard-coded key instead of a BepInEx configurable KeyboardShortcut.

F10 does nothing

Check your BepInEx log to make sure Rambo's Valheim Mod Guide loaded successfully. Also check whether another mod is interfering with F10.
