Makali charcoal grill
Build the Makali from the hammer's Crafting tab with 4 iron + 8 silver, near a forge.
- Load coal into the tray on the left side. It holds up to 10 coal.
- Use the top to add raw Mtsvadi skewers, up to six at once, and to collect cooked ones.
- Each skewer cooks in 45 seconds. Leave it another 45 seconds and it burns to coal.
One coal gives 180 seconds of heat shared by all skewers. Fuel only burns while there is meat on the grill, and running out of coal pauses cooking without losing progress. The embers glow while fueled, and raw meat sizzles and smokes as it cooks.
Shoti
Put the starter mix in a sheltered fermenter. After 10 minutes, collect 3 Shoti starters. Other fermenter recipes are unchanged. Mix a starter with flour into dough and bake it in the stone oven like vanilla bread. Leave it in too long and it burns.
Installation
Mod manager (recommended): install with r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager. BepInEx and Jotunn are installed automatically.
Manual: install BepInExPack Valheim and Jotunn, then copy the plugins/StvirisGeorgianCuisine folder into BepInEx/plugins. Keep the Assets folder next to StvirisGeorgianCuisine.dll. On Linux servers, keep the filenames' capitalization.
Multiplayer: the server and every player must have the mod, at the same version. Jotunn enforces this. This is not a server-only mod.
Upgrading from the old Khinkali build: delete BepInEx/plugins/Khinkali first and don't keep Khinkali.dll installed. Item IDs are unchanged, so existing food keeps working.
Compatibility
Built for Valheim 1.0.16 with BepInEx 5.4 and Jotunn 2.30.2. Tested in multiplayer and on Linux dedicated servers. All items and the Makali include LOD groups, so performance mods that generate automatic LODs (such as Valheim Performance Overhaul) leave them alone. Vanilla foods, cooking stations, the fermenter and the oven keep their normal behavior.
Prefab IDs for spawning with developer commands: KhinkaliMod_MincedMeat, KhinkaliMod_Khinkali, SGC_MtsvadiRaw, SGC_Mtsvadi, SGC_ShotiStarterMix, SGC_ShotiStarter, SGC_ShotiDough, SGC_Shoti, SGC_Makali.
Known limitations
- English only.
- Removing the mod deletes these items and placed Makali grills from your saves. Back up your saves before uninstalling.
