BreathOfTheCauldron
Season prepared foods with different ingredients, discover hidden perfect pairings, and create improved variants.Breath of the Cauldron
Cook normally. Season experimentally.
Breath of the Cauldron expands Valheim's cooking without replacing its existing recipes.
Cook food as usual, then return to the Cauldron and season prepared dishes with different ingredients.
Each seasoning belongs to one of four categories:
- Sweet — improves Health
- Spicy — improves Stamina
- Meaty — improves Health regeneration
- Thick — increases food duration
Most combinations provide a small, predictable improvement.
But some dishes have hidden Perfect Pairings.
Find the right ingredient and you'll create a special + version with a stronger, hand-tuned bonus.

For example, eating Carrot soup prevents you from also eating Sweet carrot soup or Sweet carrot soup +.
This behavior can be disabled in the configuration.
